Austin Rogers

Go back and watch a lot of the '07 season, he led the team in drops, many of them came in CRUCIAL situations.

Doesn't matter if there's no link. It's true.

For the record, I like AR but we have so many WR's that are more talented coming in. If he plays, I will be disappointed

just saying a key stat like leading the team in drops should be fairly accessible if so many know it to be true.

if he plays it will be because the coaches think he's better than the talent you see. Amazing concept huh?

...and that's why he won't be playing.

I'll be disappointed not b/c of him playing but for the failure of our other WRs coming in to beat him out for the position.

Assuming he rehabilitates well from the injury, I wouldn't be so quick dismiss Rogers. We might be surprised how much he contributes next year. Even if he doesn't play as much as before the injury he'll be a great character/leader in the locker room and game day. The young WRs will need a veteran like him to mentor them. Getting him back will be a positive on multiple levels.

But what if he does come out and plays well in practice and becomes a possession guy? Then what are you guys going to think about him? Every WR is going to drop a few here and there, at crucial times, he's dropped a few but he has come up with a few too. I don't think he will play much unless someone gets hurt but you guys act like he is the worst WR we've ever had because he's dropped a couple

The kid has talent. If he wins out, then you are upset because someone with less talent or ability or understanding of the system isnt in? Doesnt make sense.

And by the way, for everyone talking about Teague going over to D, it might happen, but FWIW, I think Zac Rogers would make that transition better and be more likely to move over.

Not here to pick a fight with you man, but what's your deal with hating Rogers? Again, not picking a fight just curious. I know he isn't the best WR on the field but he generally catches it when you throw it his way, he's pretty consistent....JMO:peace2:

Really was just giving the other posters some material.

What is there to lose from having him for another year? He isn't taking up a scholarship that would otherwise go to some stud recruit. What happens if we have multiple WRs hurt next year like we did at the beginning of this year?

It will be great to have him back looking foward to seeing how CLK and CKB will use him in this offense.

After seeing the heat Arian Foster got on this board, I think I would leave the above admission out...people tend to remember the ones you didn't catch rather than the ones you did..not saying its fair, but...

Best of luck to you Austin....I hope you have an opportunity to prove a lot of us wrong, including me.

Exactly. I'm one of the few that's happy he got that extra year.
