So if Kiffin gets 1-2 more good WRs in this class (Brown, Patterson, etc). What are the chances that Rogers sees the field next year?

I have to think with Jones, Moore, and any freshmen...Rogers would be riding a lot of pine.

Little brother stands a better chance than him.

He rode a lot of pine last year, well deserved I've gotta say.

If we pull in even one more good WR, I don't think he sees the field except special teams.

0 if we bring in a couple of WR, 0 if we do not bring in a couple. I believe the only way he sees the field is if we go 5 wide, and then I dont know if he would even be in there then.

In general, dont be surprised if players who played while foolmer was coach dont play when kiffin is the coach and vice versa. I look for a huge increase in player development. Once again this is in general not directly towards rogers.

Austin is a solid possession guy. He has made some tough catches and dropped some easy ones. I think you can say that about every WR though. Austin's a good kid, some of you are a bit tough on him for no reason.

He has a chance. It depends on him. He may not have as much talent as some of these recruits that will be visiting. But honestly the recievers didn't have a chance this year with our QB and offensive problems.

Kiffin said that Tuesday was day 1. It will depend on his preformance in the spring and fall camps plus his efforts this year in the weight room.

I thought Rogers did a great job with Eric Ainge throwing his way. this year He was really no worse than the rest of the receiving crew we had. With the ducks being thrown their way nobody could have caught them.So lets not count him out just yet.Good coaching and offensive scheme he could be a good receiver.

If we can't get one of the QB's to step up, the receivers we put on the field are irrelevant.

Hope he doesn't play. Doesn't produce in big games. D. Moore has shown his worth and in this new offense he should blossom. Which means Rogers will be over there sanding the bench this year.

Again I have to question why AR has become a whipping boy. I am not his biggest fan and have been aggravated by his drops but he seems to play hard and has made some plays for team in the past.
Its not like he was the difference in 5-7 team and a 10-2 team.

Id like to see a both rogers brothers get a chance at safety. both look like they could help out with depth at the least.

Rogers has became a whipping boy for a reason...the ball hits him in the wrong place...his hands. Looks to me like he missed his calling in life (mm mm boy this is some high quality h20) water sucks it really really sucks!!!!

Boxervol......you are a d-bag! Leave the kid alone....AR was the least of TN problems last year.

I've noticed you think very highly of D. Moore (and any other player you think is fast). In your opinion, what has DMO done this year besides catch 3 or 4 deep balls? He's shown no route running ability, no catches in traffic, and no YAC? Just curious.

Hasn't been able to show of his skills in this garbage system. I remember him making some nice plays for us in the bowl game when he was a true freshman. Also speed rules. The national champs were the fastest team in the nation this past year.

Say what you want about Austin but the kid has a lot of heart. Not many people would do this without a helmet. He always plays hard, I've known him since he was in high school.
YouTube - Austin Rogers helmetless against Cal, 2007

I've never questioned his heart. It's just not the 70's anymore. Just playing with heart and minimal talent will not get it done anymore.

While I like players with wheels the speed on D played a much larger role than any speed on the offensive side for FL vs OK. Tebow had half of the entire teams rushing attempts and the leading receiver was the TE.

I'm in no way whatsoever knocking speed but that wasn't what won the NC game for FL. (at least on O) Speed doesn't make you a good football player, it makes a good football player a better one.

PUT IN MAPLES!!! He's the second or third fastest guy on the team, he's taller than AR, and he can freaking catch.
