I think according what Trooper has said and what I saw from him last night that Rogers has established himself as possibly the go to guy out of that receiver group, at least for now.

I hear a lot of people talking poorly about Rogers but let's keep in mind that its only his second year in the system. I definitely think he has a bright future here.

Thanks for that. I'm hoping some of the other young receivers will step out and make a name for themselves that wasn't expected by the fan base masses!!! Has happened before.....

I wasn't thrilled about Rogers until about 4 weeks ago. Now I think he can be a 700+ yard guy, but we need 1 more of those.

Does anyone have nightmares of our passing game prior to Cutcliffe's return. Well, we were in a similar spot last year and Cutcliffe made a couple receivers appear. I just hope he still has his magic.

Good to see Rogers stepping up. Some have classified him as a possession type receiver but he has the speed to go deep. Good to see EA will have a go-to-receiver to start the season until O'Neal and Vinson find their way.

We had three very talented WRs last year returning. I would say we were far better off at WR last season than this season.

I'd feel a lot more comfortable if one of our stud wr's had stepped up to be go-to guy. I mean, someone who I remember only making plays in one game (air force, not known for their stingy secondary) and missed most of the season due to injury...is our go-to guy? And it says a lot about Taylor and Briscoe, who did actually play the whole season.

Have faith, seriously try to remember when Cutcliffe didn't get receivers going and we certainly have the talent. Save your worry for the d-line. It is good on top nothing in depth really. Any news on the rumored 3-4?

Moore may just step up and be that second guy. I would have bet on the fact that O'Neal would have been that guy...but it just doesn't seem to be developing that way. Did that Hammy slow him up that much and let Moore slip ahead?

Thanks for the positive report freak. It just makes me nervous no WRs on the team have caught a TD last year.

Hopefully a couple of these guys can be clutch.

I don't think it was an injury that put Austin out last season. I am pretty sure it was Mono. At any rate, we have no idea what to expect from wideout. If the last scrimmage is any prediction for the season, expect some drops early.

Sounds more and more like Taylor and Austin will be the starters. Taylor did have a drop in the scrimmage.

Keep in mind that Rogers was going to get plenty of playing time last year had he stayed healthy. So that's got to tell you something. He's got the speed also, just maybe not as much as our young guys.

It appears that Gerald Jones has outperformed all freshman as far as consistency so hopefully he gets on the field early and often.

I hope they don't try to rush Kenny O'Neal on the field too fast since they're loving him up so much because of his speed. We've had plenty of burners at UT that didn't amount to jack at WR so he may be no different in the end if he can't catch the ball.

I just hope that all of the drops can be attributed to our defense laying the wood.

the reason he only played in air force is because he got hurt and got mono
