No doubt that UT has some bright and also classy fans.I cannot believe that some of you are bashing a playing that has shed blood, sweat, and tears for your so called beloved UT. It's is a disgrace to hear fans of any school belittle or question the talent of players that have just injured themselves fighting for YOUR school. Crazy, I bet none of you critizing him have been apart of any team at the collegiate level. You couldnt understand the work and commitment it takes to succeed at that level. Some of you should be ashamed.
I hope that he makes a speed recovery and God bless to him and his family.
I have nothing against it. Just think he would be wasting a lot of hard work to get a 6th year in which he would be used very infrequently.
KInda of like playing what if's that usually hapen to some degree. You have a veteran, better than average SEC receiver. Tough, works hard, good character, good for team, would be good mentor, even if he gets limited playing time. Dependable hands most of time even if not able to break big runs. So, on the infrequent playing time he does get, he makes the plays that keeps us in the games with chances to win and it's those small contributions from infrequent players that's makes a good season a good season.
Play the "what if" all you want.
Mine would certainly not play out like the one you just proposed. I do love though talking about talent and people hyping up the "good character, good for team, works hard, good mentor" angles.
1) How close are you with AR? Since you know his character and all?
2) Impressions of thug players has what to do with wins?
1) Never met him. Know where he came from and how he was likely raised, so without anything derrogatory knowledge of him, can only credit him unless shown otherwise.
2) Thug players being your role models creates more thug players, all of whom will likely exit school early, so you end up with less skilled players getting thrown in before they are ready. Just a hunch, see recent trends in UT football.
