AJ Johnson could move over when Lathers gets back, Austin is better than Probst.

I love the guy, but he just can't get there. AJ Johnson isn't really any faster.

No and that's what a lot of the fans need to realize....the roster is about as thin as Manute Bol

I am pretty sure I saw Austin Johnson run from his MLB spot and drop Rainey on the sideline, when Rainey was trying to get the edge. If you don't think Austin Johnson has the speed to cover in the SEC, I don't know what to tell you.

Austin Johnsom made a lot of plays, whiffed on one or two...playing with two freshmen LBs. They weren't perfect, but they were not too shabby. We wanted to beat a better team, but we didn't. Question is, will Dooley make Tennessee a better team? We darned sure looked better today than we did in a number of Phil's years.

Don't know about NMT. Propst is number two. I think that King tore a miniscus and decided to wait for it to heal, instead of having it scrapped. My guess is he'll transfer.

We should have ran nickel all game. Their run game was 99% sweeps & the pass game wasn't much.

I heard Doug Matthews talking about Johnson this a.m. and he said that Johnson is a good football player.....but not that good....he went on to say that he wouldn't be surprised if they move AJ Johnson in to the middle

With that being said, he has to make the play when it is time. He missed too many tackles as a middle linebacker. His angle of pursuit was wrong along with his other technique. It will be interesting to see how he handles the RB's of Alabama.

Team speed is still seriously lacking pretty much across the board. Dooley & Co are trying to upgrade, but I don't think they've been that successful yet.

Yet another reason why the reds should have moderated their expectations.
