I always thought it was Kingsburg.

It is Kingsburg, a Central Valley (farming region) California small town off the 99 between Fresno and Visalia. Here's more than you want to know -

"Kingsburg was established as a railroad town, its site set by the Central Pacific Railroad when it completed the Valley Line in 1873. In the early 1870s, Swedish natives settled in a railroad town called "Kings River Switch". In 1874 the present town site was drawn up and the name was changed to "Kingsbury". Two years later it became "Kingsburgh" and in 1894 took on its present spelling, "Kingsburg", which was finally established as a town in 1908. By 1921, ninety-four percent of the population within a three-mile radius of Kingsburg was Swedish-American, giving the community the nickname of "Little Sweden". To keep up with the town's Swedish history they have most retail businesses designed in Swedish architecture.

For much of the town's history the fields around Kingsburg were mostly grape vineyards which produce mainly raisin and table grapes; however in 2002 a large surplus of raisins and grapes drove the price for these commodities down to an all time low. Subsequently, farmers were forced to replant the fields with stone fruit, or (particularly on the west side of town) sell their land to developers to help cope with the rising population. Kingsburg is the headquarters of Sun-Maid Growers of California, a producer of raisins and other dried fruits. Kingsburg is home to the world's largest box of raisins,[3] built by students at California State University, Fresno.

He is not even listed on rivals? I would think being Tyler's brother would at least get him a rivals page. Their are no names from Knoxville with rivals pages

I don't know anything about Austin but if I remember correctly Tyler wasn't heavily recruited and really didn't show up at all until he started going to camps. If a kid doesn't go to camps Rivals is generally clueless.

Exactly. His brother is 6'4 and got hurt last year and was out for what I believe was the latter part of the season and this summer, so he didn't get a lot of attention. If he continues to put up big numbers this year his stock will rise. Coaches should keep an eye on him.

Kid looks promising..i only hope he has rocket arm like in brother..but for UT, we already have Bray for another year or so..and then Worley looks solid along with Peterman and Nance...I wouldn't want to bring another talent and waste him behind Worley..coz I believe Worley will do great stuff too..Nevertheless good luck to Bray junior..wish he was class of 13 or 14..

We are set at QB this year and will not sign another one. If Austin is really that good, he will blow up this year and get some D-1 offers, but if he does not get one he likes he could do a year of either prep school or JUCO to polish his game a bit and get more attention, including from us.

He could also either do a preferred walk on, or better yet come in as a grayshirt in January to be in the 2013 class with the opportunity to go through both Spring and Fall camps before the season starts.

I agree, I was thinking we would only be able to bring him in as a grayshirt or preferred walk-on.

Benjie Shuler anyone?

Let's stick with Peterman and let Austin Bray go off to SDSU or someplace like that. Heck, maybe he can come play for UTC or MTSU.

Named as one of ESPN HS Players of the Week for the first week of Sept.

Says he had an injury last year, so maybe that slowed any recruitment.

WEST

Austin Bray, Kingsburg (Kingsburg, Calif.)

This senior quarterback is the younger brother of University of Tennessee sophomore starter Tyler Bray. The younger Bray, who is coming back from an injury last season, opened the season with 426 yards by completing 15 of 26 passes and throwing six touchdowns in a nail-biting 45-40 win over San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, Calif.). Zach Bethel led the receivers with six catches for 211 yards and three of the touchdowns. Kingsburg has won two consecutive CIF Central Section Division III championships.

no they didnt i sit next to the Brays at the UT games (because im friends with marlon walls little brother i sit with his family)

You might want to ask them next time you see them then. I'm telling you , they moved back. Do you think Austin lives on his own in California? They might have a place here when they visit , but they don't live in Tennessee anymore.
