could they be starters because of the newcomers not practicing with the veterans yet?

I wouldn't consider them starters yet. They are just the ones getting the majority of the work with the 1st team.

You're right, newcomers will be aplenty in the two-deep.

Personally, I don't like the idea of having Justin Hunter returning punts. If he gets hurt back there, we are in trouble. With a team like this, we can't take unnecessary risks with one of our best players. JMO of course.

We dont have enough depth to risk our best playmaker on offense.

And he is the best one at the moment. The point stands.

Julio returned punts for Bama last year. He was their best WR. I remember Peerless was our best WR when he was here and he was returning punts. Patrick Peterson was LSU's best player last year and he returned punts. LSU doesn't beat UNC last year without that return.

And how many of them had serious depth problems? Outside of ZR, Justin Hunter is our most experienced WR. Yes, we have some depth here but it's mostly unproven. You simply cannot risk your biggest offensive threat when there is all unproven guys behind him (except ZR and DR). Again though, this is JMO.

I don't see why we'd put JH back there? Yeah hes fast, but having a 6'6 returner doesn't do much for us lol. We need to throw a DB back there like Janzen.. Hes got speed.. Not to mention hes under 6'6 lol. I just don't like the thought of having a 6'6 returner.. Just me though.

JH isn't really known for being physical anyway.
