Auburn Wanted To Have The Tiger Walk At Neyland?(merged)

I was just telling you what Auburn does on the road.....They walk from the bus to the stadium and the fans cheer them on...Probably more fans there than what most fans show up to support there team....But still no big deal......

Every away fan base cheers their team when they arrive at the stadium. To think AU is any different and actually call it a "Tiger Walk" is just silliness.

i have been going to tenn games for years....i have watched the visiting team walk in almost every week....they all usually have some type of fanbase down there cheering them on as they walk in the stadium....usually the SEC teams have more people down there...but AUBURN.....the last time they came....it got very wild as there team walked in...they had their band and cheerleaders there....the fans were uncontrolable...the cops usually rope it off to where the fans cant be on the road as the team walks down the road into the stadium....but those ropes and cops didnt stop the auburn fans from getting on the road and giving high fives to the players and coaches....i would say that year the "tiger walk" at neyland was alot wilder than the vol walk that year....

When I go on the road to Vol games I rarely have it in the itenerary to see the team walk into the stadium, but I have a half dozen or so times. Every time the band is playing, cops are manning the ropes, and fans are cheering and high-fiving the players. I've NEVER heard that called the Vol Walk.

Actually they moved it. "Their" will be a tiger walk, but it'll be on Sunday, St. Mary's Medical Center. Be "their".

You mean there are 1000 Auburn fans that can get on the internet? I will have to call bs on this.

Since Auburn will obviously have to get off their buses at some point, and one would expect Auburn fans to be there to greet them, what exactly was requested that Tennessee officials don't want to allow? Was it a matter of Auburn wanting to get off the buses some distance away (doubtful, I would think) or maybe it was the "event" aspect, and UT asked that the Auburn band not participate?

I've never had the opportunity to see the visiting team arrive (at least not in the last 20 years or so), how does that work? Do they let them out on Stadium, err Fulmer Drive and they walk down the hill, or do they ride the buses down the hill and then get out? I see their buses parked on the hill on Tee Martin Drive (the alley that runs down the hill and under the stadium), but they are backed in, which I've always assumed happened after the team dismounted.

There is not a lot of room in that area, and with so many fans trying to get to the gate 10 ramp, could be UT is concerned about too much congestion.

And, in Auburn's defense, (can't speak for Oxford) I remember seeing the Tiger Walk long before Tennessee started doing it.

Will you be walking all the way from your campus (sic) in West Tuskegee?

I wouldn't have a problem with him dumping it all over them. When we explicitly tell them no, you can't do it, and they disregard it, and still do it "unofficially", they deserve whatever they get.
