Auburn & Tennessee: The lost rivalry

I've talked with older Auburn fans and they remember it as a great rivalry too - Lots of good, entertaining games.

I got a beef with that article now that I've opened it. The author says the Third Saturday in October has been one-sided throughout history and that just isn't true. I think the margin is 10 or 11 games now in favor of Bama, and well, they've won 7 straight. Before our recent collapse, it was neck and neck, and NO SCHOOL has beat Bama more than Tennessee. /rant

It reads "one-sided throughout its history". This is correct as the series has been one of streaks (not always in bammers favor). Often times one program is on the top and the other is on the bottom which has led to predicable games.
The exception would be the 1930's through the 1950's.

With streaks throughout the series like this, Bama/UT has been lopsided
11 — Alabama (1971-1981)
9 — Alabama (1986-1994)
7 — Tennessee (1995-2001)
7 — Alabama (1905-1913)
7 — Alabama (2007-Present)
6 — Tennessee (1955-1960)
6 — Tennessee (1948-1953)
not sure how 86-94 is a 9 game streak when 93 was a tie that i attended... that may be picky but i dont like to pad their (yes impressive) resume anymore than necessary...ie ghost nc's
