It'd be understandable if the guy actually won while he was at iowa state. 0-8 in the big 12, and 2-10 overall doesnt sound like a successful SEC coach to me...

He went on a nice little undefeated streak as D Coord at Auburn then Texas the next year. i guess thats what Jay Jacobs was hoping for.

There were plenty of good candidates for Auburn to choose from. Very odd choice.

They looked solid against Crompton.
