I was there as well. Didn't we only end up losing by like 7 points? I remember them picking off a pass to seal it

I was there in 2003. It was a great atmosphere and the people were nice. It's a great place for tailgating.

I was also there and Yes, we got down to about the 30 yard line or so then clausen threw a pick in the last 2 minutes of so when we were down 21-28. We were down by the score of 28-7 i believe at one point, so we did make a good run at a comeback but a little short.

Great thing about Auburn tailgating is that it's first come, first serve. You can pick a grassy spot and it's yours.

In '03, that stadium was as loud as any others in the SEC I've been in.

All in all, I put Auburn as one of the top SEC experiences.

Waxed is a bit harsh. It just seemed like a waxing for the first 3 qtrs.

2 memories from that game....

1. The gracious AU fans that offered us a free tik for my son.
2. The A-hole who told his (10-12yo) daughter it wasn't ok to return a high-five offered after an AU TD.

All-in-all a good experience. The only SEC school I've been where you aren't treated like you act is uf. Absolutely nastiness typically prevails. Of course not all, but most.

With two experiences in the Swump (1 day and 1 night), and our last one at AUB (night) under my belt, I must say that game at Jordan Hare was quite an experience as a football fan in general. Nicest fans (women with tails were a nice sight) and fans were overall respectful. As someone stated earlier the crowd was ridiculous and comparable to any other SEC crowd and maybe noisier. I still think Wilhoit's field goal to beat UF made for the loudest crowd I can recall.:peace2:

they were nice enough last time, but winning may have gotten to their heads a bit...they weren't real used to it in 03.

I went for the TN Tech game last year and had to stay in Opelika,so I would definitely get on the hotel situation ASAP. I'd get to the game early to see the War Eagle, its really a sight to see. You can tailgate anywhere, there are people parked all over town. I also had a good time watchin LSU beat Bama that night with people that hated Bama as much as I do.

Last time the Big Orange played Auburn at Jordan-Hare, I was listening to the pre game on the radio when the Tigers ran onto the field. The stadium was so loud I couldn't hear the announcers. I knew right then we were in trouble. By the way, we got waxed.

Ah yea we lost by a TD, and Clausen threw a INT (picked off by Carlos Rogers) in the redzone with like 1 minute left.

and as a side note... the city of Aurbun has like 1 cell phone tower, so you might as well not bank on cell phone usage.

As someone who was there....we got waxed. We tried to make a game of it but it was never really close.

AU fans gave my son a free ticket that day and we were generally treated well. Except for this one drunk.....

28-21 wasn't close? I remember us having a chance to tie it up but came up short at the end. By the way, a buddy transferred up to UT in 2004, and said the 03 game was the loudest he'd ever heard the place because they generally expected to lose big games.
