It’s not a stretch. That phrase and Tennessee football have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

“Saturdays are for the boys” has BEEN around. If you google it, you can see and hear countless sports personalities saying it.

Currie heard someone say it and thought it was inspiring, but he didn’t run his heartfelt message/story by anyone else before making his statement. Turns out it was a phrase from a sports blog used jokingly at the game last Saturday.
