Other fanbases using VN strategy to get rid of their coach? Here is Dan Harralson's podcast discussing Auburn fanbase going apesh!t and wanting Kiffen to come to the rescue.

Kiffin would be dangerous in the SEC at this rate. The way he has made FAU viable in 2 years is ridiculous and is a very underrated turnaround.

Him taking over any program would immediately be a threat and I’m not a Kiffin fan after what happened with us, but the guy can coach.

Auby picked up our old Bball coach why not get the past Fball coach as well.

Kiffy would ruin their program. I could really care less, I never liked Auby anyway.

3-3 this year in a weak conference.

The only danger he would be be in the SEC is for the team he would be coaching.

Auburn probably second most dysfunctional/volatile SEC organization next to TN, except that they still win.

The crazy thing is they won 10 games and beat Bama and UGA once last year. They can't fire Gus because of his contract, but there's clearly discontent. Some similarity to UT w/ Fulmer. Phil firing was a few years building, where we had two bad seasons, but, as a whole, we became spoiled. If we made a hire like UGA which took us higher, there'd be no second guessing about the Fulmer's firing. How much would we trade right now to have Fulmer's last 6 seasons: 10-3, 10-3, 5-6, 9-4, 10-4, 5-7.

I would only like to see Kiffin at the Burn to give Saban and LSU fits. Also, we dont play them often enough for it to be too troubling. Otherwise, keep him the heck out of the SEC. You can think what you will of Kiffin's personal life but the guy can coach and would be dangerous playing and recruting up here. Kiffin was a very young coach when he made most of the decisions we (rightly) blame him for.

That said, Auburn is not getting rid of Gus any time soon. He is a pretty fair coach that would have serious success in a weaker conference.

Auburn is the new Clemson. They can win big games and blow ones they shouldn’t consistently.

Lol they played the #10 (UCF) and #11 (Oklahoma) ranked team in the nation. They even beat Old Dominion who beat Virginia Tech.

Their conference might be weak but the games they lost were against highly ranked opponents besides the loss to Middle Tennessee by 1 point.

You might want to research before you post.

Before the season I predicted coach O at LSU to be gone by seasons end and Lane to take his place. That's probably not going to happen now but if it did and them being in such a talent rich environment people better watch out. He's going to get another crack at a big school in the sec and he will be a nightmare to play against. He can coach period. Gus isn't going anywhere. Buyout is like 32 million right now. Plus who they going to bring in that's had the success against Saban that he has?

I saw them lose to UCF last year who went undefeated under Scott Frost....how's Frost doing in a real football conference? How's UCF doing without him? Can't put a ton of stock into that kind of stuff. How did Kiffin do at Oakland? Tennessee? USC?.......
