*Auburn Commits PLEASE READ!*

And just HOW much mediocrity are you willing to stomach, sir? Heading in the right direction? It's taken us 5 games to establish some sort of a run game. 5 games. Does it take "good" teams 5 games to warm up? No.

And I understand the whole "2 year waiting period" for the 3-4 defense. Really, I do. But it's not like we're even running a complex 3-4. Theses kids can't be THAT dumb. Being out of position is one thing; not having a single defender in the area is another. Actually, we aren't in a 3-4 near as often as people think we are. So we're in our basic defense most of the time and are still out of position. Why? No excuse.

I really do try to be realistic and reasonable. But there does come a time when you expect progress. Everyone on this board should expect this. Not expecting this makes you delusional. The running game looked decent last game. Defense has been below average, best.

I welcome rebuttal. Please. Rebuttal me.

Vols are avg 177.4 ypg! 6th in SEC in rushing behind Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Bama, and Flordia! The running game has been better the entire year!!!! Not just one game!!

KNOXVILLE — Like the rest of his Tennessee teammates, Rajion Neal will enjoy the rest the open date annually provides.

The Volunteers' junior tailback could use it, too.

Though he entered the preseason as part of a three-way backfield competition, Neal leads the Southeastern Conference with 103 carries through five games.

South Carolina's Marcus Lattimore figures to get more than the 12 carries he needs to pass Neal's mark in the Gamecocks' showdown with Georgia in Columbia, but given the nature of Tennessee's offense, Neal's position near the top of that statistical category is surprising.

I fail to see what this brings to your argument or how it refutes mine?

Is this REALLY the program they want to commit to? I hope they all realize that the only time Chizik has been successful was when he had Cam Newton (which would have made any team a title contender). Their blocking is terrible, run AND pass. Their qb's look like a deer in headlights. Chizik won't last long.

I really hope UT's coaches are on the phone with these recruits ASAP.

You can say that about alot of teams. But i am glad Arkansas is having trouble. Last year Bobby Petrino told Peters that Dooley would be gone. I love how KARMA bites you in the butt. But that is recruiting.

As bad as Auburn is Dooley can't say anything until he actually wins a decent game. Chizik can always say come to my ring party to us. Or at least have a winning season first.

A. You are clearly misreading my post. I admitted that the running game looked decent. 6th in the SEC qualifies as decent. It just so happens that 2 of those teams that you named that are ahead of us in rushing are in the SEC East. You are acting like I was bashing it.

B. Are you going to sit there and tell me that Raijon is a "tough" runner? The kid has been fragile all year. What's the point of getting excited about him working out with the O-lineman because he's so "strong" if he's not going to use that on the football field? Break some damn tackles.

Same can be said about Dooley, except the the successful part

Dooley Dooley Dooley Dooooley doooly doooly doooooly dooooooodu fauo fuaofuauf oaisjflasjfia. This thread is not about Dooley! It's about how much Auburn sucks! Even more than us! Even though Auburn has had 4 years under Chizik, a fluke, once-in-a-lifetime national title, and top-10 to 15 recruiting classes: They still suck! UT is headed in a better direction, no matter what. You guys aggravate the hell out of me. You can't let a fellow Tennessee fan try to convince recruits why they ought to head this way. Who cares what you think! I know I don't! All I care about is getting bigtime recruits here!

I am referring to the part about five games to establish run game. All the run yardage did not come in the fifth game. Yes, we did look better running against UGA, but we ran well in the other four ages also, and I contend if we had stuck to the run in the second half against UF we may have closed the game out with a win.

I mean we were bad last year... but Auburn is pitiful right now.... they are going 3-9... that program is headed in the toilet! They may beat Alabama A & M (FCS) and one of the two Vandy or Ole Miss..... OUCH!

U obviously just troll message boards more than u watch games... Our guys are almost always in position to make a play(tackle) and miss.. That's on the player.. U can put him in the right place, but u can't make him make a play.. Every single player has been taught how to tackle, but if they don't, it's on them... U can't make CP catch that TD he dropped, and can't keep Bray from fumbling on our last drive..

And if u don't see progress this season, you're just not paying attention..

I don't think it's absurd to think that this past game is when we solidified our run game? We had 96 yards against GA State total and 88 against Florida. The other 2 games against Akron and NC state we're ok. But it's against Akron and NC State... Again, I think you're inferring that I thought our run game was terrible.

Newton and Malzahn is what made Auburn great. Now that they are gone Chiziks real talent is beginning to show. I think most Vol fans can relate - enter Tee Martin & Cutcliffe.

I hope you are kidding. I've watched every game more than once this season. I'm a Vol fan to a fault, sir. And no, I don't troll message boards? I've been a member with this site for almost 2 years and have less than 100 posts. I don't appreciate your hostility, to be completely honest. I've been faithful to this board and only post when I feel relevant. I think a "man" of your stature would appreciate that.

And no, our guys are NOT almost always in position to make a tackle. Have YOU watched the games? Even our own coaches have admitted that they aren't in position to make tackles on a lot of plays.

And yes, you can keep Bray from fumbling that ball. He had adequate protection on that play and rushed it. Also, coaching factors into him carrying the damn ball by his hip while he's in the pocket. That's been observed by more people than just myself. Keep the ball up, less fumbles.

you want big time recruits...its simple...all you people get off Dooleys arse and get on Hart to extend his contract....eliminates "hot seat" and the big time recruits will line up....this program is heading in the right direction..just need a little more support from fans and administration...."you build it they will come"...just what Dooley is doing!!!
