Wow! Those are two mad ladies.... Can't blame them. Everyone else knew about it before the coaches and their spouses. That is a terrible way to handle the situation. And some UT fans thought the Fulmer firing was handled poorly.

Local radio is staying away from the story since they can't confirm it was really the coaches wife. They said if they could verify, they'd be all over her comments about Saban and recruiting.

But back on topic - that sucks that they did it that way - both Tennessee and Auburn didn't handle it the best way.

On ESPN they interviewed AU AD and he said he and the University President practically begged him to stay and it was totally Tommy's decision and it shocked them.

BS. The AD at Auburn was calling around looking for donations of 10k-50k to buy Mr. Tubbs out the other day.

I don't doubt that but did you see the interview with him? I don't see why he and the University President why flat out lie. On the other hand I don't see how he is getting a buyout without being fired or forced out like Fulmer.

Jacobs said he and the president agreed to pay Tuberville the buyout price of $5.1 million -- even though it was not required since he wasn't fired -- because they felt it was "the right thing to do."

That is a very expensive gesture for someone that "resigned".
