Auburn coach out?

We do not share 99% DNA with apes. Your public school education failed you
Probably what study OP is referring to:
The bonobo genome compared with the chimpanzee and human genomes | Nature

On average, the two alleles in single-copy, autosomal regions in the Ulindi genome are approximately 99.9% identical to each other, 99.6% identical to corresponding sequences in the chimpanzee genome and 98.7% identical to corresponding sequences in the human genome.
It is only referring to chromosome 21, which is the smallest of the 23 pairs. Still pretty crazy to think about; however, a single genetic mutation has significant ramifications... Can be life or death.

He's right. We only share 98.8% of our DNA with chimps.
They are the ones that are more like humans socially.
They are really not monogamous.
The females use sex to calm disagreements among males in the clan. It is very effective.

Apes - Gorillas - aren't so much like humans socially.

My time at UT didn’t really convince me that humans are monogamous…

Many legit sources expect he will be gone really soon. The rumors and uprising among key donors make his staying seem a remote possibility. With all the money paid out to Gus, they are seeking every way possible to avoid his buyout. There is no consensus candidate this time similar to Gus. Will certainly be interesting. Harsin will resurface at Fresno State or somewhere like that.

Having to pay close to 40 million in buyout fees in a span of a little over one year has to take a toll on Auburn right I mean they can’t be that flush with money…

This girl is a Diva and she pissed somebody off and IMO they are using her to try to push Harsin out.
It is the Auburn Way.....

Auburn = Alabama Usually Beats US Round' November....

Bryan Harsin rally at Toomers Corner about an hour ago...................That about sums it up

There are certain jobs like heading up a Chamber of Commerce or being an SEC football coach that you have to schmooze a host of folks and have outstanding people skills. Harsin being an SEC outsider never understood this. Ugly situation for sure.

I think he got THAT message very clear

Well yeah. That and a married coach with a 25 year old mistress employee ain’t the smartest move either. Especially when you had a disaster like he had this year. I believe they are just looking for an excuse and he served up a home run ball. Like I said yesterday, we are going to see how badly they want him out.

Another thought on this-

Even if there is no evidence from the affair or there is no contract morality clause that would allow Hardin to be fired for cause, there are options Auburn could explore to recoup the 17 mil. Look no further than our own situation with Pruitt for what I mean.

We had a bad coach with a big buyout, self reported some violations, fired everyone involved and ran anyone being paid off the roster. NCAA isn’t likely to punish a program when the responsible parties have all moved elsewhere.

All Auburn would need to do is self report a couple violations- one payment that wasn’t from a private party, one unofficial visit with university-funded accommodation, etc is all they’d need- which almost certainly took place, intentionally or not. For that to happen, Auburns admin would need to believe a few things:

1) those violations are just serious enough to fire with cause without damaging the school’s reputation too much,
2) next season likely wouldn’t be competitive anyway with a new coach or lousy current coach and lots of transfers, and,
3) they have a full handle on the extent of violations within the program- would be very bad if there was more going on than they thought and the NCAA found someone on the payroll they don’t know about. This step is probably part of why our internal investigation was so lengthy.

Let’s all HOPE the above happens as it would be a disaster for Auburn and cause even more portal activity we can benefit from. Would also weaken their 2023-24 recruiting which would be fantastic news. More likely, the school just pays the buyout and moves on.
The hard part is everyone is saying Harsin went out of his way to run a clean program. Multiple people saying he told all his staffers don’t cheat to get recruits. Would be really surprised if they can get anything on him regarding violations.

I think Auburn is stuck with most of the buyout at this point. This has been bungled worse than the Pruitt fiasco. No idea who they can get as a coach this late. Whoever they pursue will have even more leverage on guaranteed money.

I mean the only coach that is available right now is Gruden….

Never underestimate the idiocy or ego of Auburn boosters.

Interesting...I find the "holier than thou" to be more tolerable than those that apparently are not, but then then get riled up and start name calling by generalizing those that have any type of morals as "holier than thou".
It's generally those on short horses that take issue with high ones.
