AU vs UT

I think it will be 24-9, Auburn. We won't get in the endzone. Special teams will make a major gaffe.

Crompton will meander along in his cluelessness.....and talk about how we should have won the game after it's a done deal.

I hope Jerraud Powers rocks Cromptons world just like he did Hatch from LSU and just sends him into an absolute daze! I tell you what them boys from AU are going to hit and hit us right in the mouth!

I try to be as reasonable as a fan can get. I love the Vols football team but from what I have saw from Auburn in the past two weeks I think it will be a long game next Saturday for us. The game last night against LSU really opened my eyes on what AU is capable of - LSU is one of the top 3-4 teams in the nation and Auburn had a great chance to win the game. For some reason I get the feeling it'll be like it was the last time we played them in 04 when they smacked us around to the tune of 34-10 in Knoxville.

I hope to God I'm wrong and we circle the wagons or whatever that old saying is and win but I think AU is a very talented squad and we all know UT is way down. UT down, Auburn having a punishing defense and decent offense...........I see the final score being about 24-7 or so.

This is what our offense has come too, hoping another player takes out our QB

two things

please start stephens

two-an angry auburn team might have the goal of completely shutting us out, which isn't out of the question. I would like to see us run the ball north and south like we used to more. Use our two talented backs and shorten the game.

Volunteer fans are doomed. Auburn will destroy us.

I'm going back to being a silent lurker.

My last words.... Move on to a new QB immediately and start looking for a new coach.

Good luck to everyone who clings to the orange. I'll be nearby but plan to suffer in silence.

yeah i'm sure auburns upset, and they played pretty well last night. i have a feeling they may beat us by more than florida did, as much as i hate to say it.

Auburn will not lose two in a row at home. They managed 21 points against Lsu, but we wont put nearly as much pressure on the qb as Lsu.

Auburn head coach > Tennessee head coach
Auburn talent > Tennessee talent (but its close)

Auburn played tough against an LSU team that may have found it's identity last night.

Auburn is mad. They believe they could have, and should have, won that game. And UT is squarely in their sights.

Forget that "Auburn" contains the letters "UAB". There won't be any similarities here.

I'll be surprised if we score 14 points against Auburn. I expect them to score at least 30 on us.

Simple math. And the end result is 1-3.

It is what it is.

go vols.

Auburn 38-3, Fulmer announces resignation on Monday effective at end of season.

Flame me if you will, but I would take the loss to get the resignation.

We're gonna get creamed anyway. Might as well get something good out of it.

Spare me the "go cheer for another team" responses. I'm a Vol fan. I put the program above any individual associated with it. Including the head coach.

There are probably plenty who silently agree with you. I imagine more of them will speak up as the season goes on.

And Fulmer won't resign until after the Bama game. No matter what happens he will figure a win against them will save his job. Trouble is, he probably won't get it.

i never want a player hurt, but i was laughing so hard after Hatch was walking side to side after that hit, he was still shaking the cobwebs out after the game i bet.

I would love for us to start Jones at Qb although that would never happen. He's got experience at the position and we saw in the O&W game he can throw the ball a little bit. Face it, anything is better than watching that moron Crompton one-hop passes to receivers. If something drastic doesn't happen then 2005 will seem like a fond memory.

whats going to be funny is Foster thinking he has time to dance around and run to the outside AU defense is going to eat his lunch....then were going to give up on the run and throw 35 plus times and JC will have his lunch ate by this defense and their pass rush it won't be pretty....their offense was starting to click against LSU and with our non-exist pass rush Todd will have all day to find WR's this game is also on national tv and won't be pretty

Im sure we are working like heck to correct our multiple miscues and it will show game time, but what are every ones thoughts for this game? I do know this much, if you watch AU those guys come out fired up and ready to play and that stadium is loud come game time, and there wont be any fire drills come halftime. AU plays with pride and discipline, I have yet to figure out what UT plays with. Oh wait i know a sh!tty QB who talks smack after getting rocked and repeatedly making stupid plays!

I see not only a beatdown on the scoreboard but a total physical domination. Auburn 27 Tennessee 6

Well I was about right with my prediction. The special teams looked better, and our defense played pretty much lights out. I called 14-10 Aubun but 14-12 is about as close as you can ask for. Crompton has had his chance and I tried to stay behind him but I am convinced he is not the QB we need to lead this team. He just doesn't have it mentally, and is basically in denial about how much he sucks.

Not only is he just flat out piss poor in accuracy, he is quite possibly the worst decision maker and game manager UT has ever had. He is fundamentally AWFUL. Clawson can't "dumb" the offense down anymore for him and expect us to win. I thought Clawson actually called a pretty good game. Crompton just needs to get out of his fantasy world and find a nice place on the bench, and take that cocky ass attitude somewhere else. Now I see why Ainge never liked Crompton. He thinks hes God's gift to Tennessee football and he SUCKS. Please leave, or at least get realistic and lose the 6th grade attitude. What an idiot...
