We are still waiting for that core group of home grown Tennessee kids to show up to campus and lead this great university out of the 14 yr. slump!

Where are you? When are you going to step up? It's time!

It's ALWAYS GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL !!!!

They are going to Gumpville, Bucknutsville, and other programs dedicated to winning.

Yeah. I’m pretty down about this one. Only game on, Tennessee is spotlighted, and.......we crap the bed.

I’m really not sure how we dig out at this point. I’m fearful that what Dools and Lyle weakened, Paycheck Phil and Slingblade finally killed.

I know this is really negative, and I wish it weren’t. I just don’t see a program recovering from this far down.

Yeah it’s negative but it’s hard not to agree with you. After watching this game, I catch myself wondering can we ever get over the hump? And honestly after today, I have serious doubts we ever will.

But I have a hard time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I think we are basically an 8-9 win team from here on out. Maybe compete for an SEC title once every 8-10 years.

Winners win. Losers lose.

This team still doesn’t know how to win when it matters most. Until that changes, we ain’t going anywhere.

So you think we deserve to be at Alabama’s level or have some kind of right to be elite? It would be nice for sure . I will take what you described ( 8/9 wins) compared to what has gone on since Kiffin was here not including Dobb’s last two years.

No I don’t expect Bama level. By getting over the hump, I mean at least being in the conversation as one of the top 4-5 teams in the SEC. Winning the East every 3-5 years. Making NY6 bowls sometimes. Yeah winning 8-9 games a year is good. But is that all you want? I want us to get back to being a feared program. A program that’s in the top 10-15 every year.

Is that too much to want?

No guarantees but I think we could be in top 4/5 SEC teams and even be considered as high as 2nd in the SEC next year. Heupel is good enough to get us there with good recruiting. He is certainly better than anyone we have had coaching since 1998. It’s all about the recruiting.
