a bit off topic but I am surprised we have not seen crimedawg on here this week encouraging the Vols to beat the gatas.

Those Ga. plates are only $25. The collegiate plates in Tenn. are now $35 a year.

btw, IMO it reeks that we have Bammer and Aub plates in Tenn but the state of Ala. apparently doesn't allow out of state colleges on its plates. If they do, they aren't on their state DMV website.

I only have one problem with this(We must have 1,000 paid applicants to start production of the license plates.)I'm sure their will be no problem of getting 1,000 Georgia residents to apply but lets just say they don't.I't says all checks/money orders will be destroyed.Just sounds like a gamble, but I would love to have one.Is there anyway of finding out the number of applicants?

I would love to see it. I work in North GA, as well as TN, and I want to see more Vol fans stand up down there.

Thanks...I know FL plates were recently approved. I am glad to see we have a chance to show our support of TN

Where would one find the chapters for Virginia? I'd like to get something together so we can get UT tags in Va.

Theres a list on UTK.edu somewhere, with the website links.

If not just look on google.

Unfortunately Alabama will never allow those tags.

When the Tenn legislature first created the collegiate plates, it only allowed them for out of state schools if those states allowed plates for Tenn colleges too. That was removed after a couple of years. I think they ought to require that kind of reciprocity. It hacks me to see Bammer and AU Tenn tags while knowing Ala won't allow UT (or VU or Memphis) tags.
