this game is why we need those incredible recruits. So the VOLS can get back to the way they should be.

Very few teams, who aren't used to that high octane hurry up play of Oregon's, would be able to beat them let alone hang with them. I doubt TN will see that type of play again this year and it certainly wont be coming from FL. We all are disappointed in the loss today and that is understandable, but this craziness of criticizing and *****ing about firing coaches and damning our players is ridiculous. It is one game, it does not define us as a team and it does not define the coaching staff as coaches. Sure there are things that maybe could have been done differently but we as fans "think" we know what our personnel are capable of but the coaches "know" what they are capable of.

It is early yet and this should be an opportunity for learning and growth for the whole team but also for the fan base to recognize that this mountain we are trying to climb is not only high and steep it is also traversed with many obstacles that must be overcome to reach that pinnacle.

:good!:

What did everyone expect? I mean really? I told my wife before the game I expected them to score 60 on us and we would be lucky to hold them under 50. I've been seeing this coming for a while and most everyone else has too if they're being honest.

Despite the storm today, there's still hope. There's more storms on the horizon, but the important thing to look at is progress and preparation. Let's look at how things are at the end of November, not mid-September.

I'm just asking what he's seen from this team today that makes him think we go to the swamp and beat a team we haven't best in 8 years. But sure, I'll be a negavol

Well, how about this? Oregon is arguably the best, most explosive, most unstoppable team in the country averaging about 700 yds of offense per game. Our young, inexperienced, gunshy (due to 3 yrs of losing under Dooley) and still relatively slow defense did not even remotely match up with them.

Florida, while owning us for the past 8 yrs, is a grease fire offensively thus far, and is a much better matchup for us. At least that's how I see it. We will probably not win that game either, but we have a much better chance at competing, keeping it close and possibly winning the game.... especially relative to our chance at beating Oregon.

I wonder how our offense last year would have done against Oregon? I'd say they would have done pretty stinking good. Obviously the defense was horrendous so it would be one of the highest scoring games in a long time ha.

Would you play for this abomination of a coaching staff?

Would u want to try and rebuild this **** we have seen for this many years. I used to get agitated over losing out on players like Cameron Clear, not anymore I would not play for this state university

Wait people are pissed about losing to a team with far greater talent at nearly every position than at UT? One that's been steady and had its system in place for years and is the fastest team in the country? I don't like seeing UT lose. The players don't either. But it wasn't hard to see the talent disparity between the two teams. We've been wrecked by the previous two staffs and more recently, injuries. Judging them on one game where UT is almost completely outmatched because of the current roster situation is jumping the gun a bit IMHO.

There is definitely a difference between the football forum and the recruiting forum. I don't believe that some of the posters on the football forum are Vol fans.

We signed Clear. We had to dump him for being a thief. Remember?

Can't decide which post was more pathetic.... yours or the one you were responding to. Feel free not to be a fan of this state university.... which I doubt you are anyway.
