Who wants to pay those prices to sit in the upper deck when you can watch it at home in HD on a 50 inch TV? I don't.

I do think the Nashville Sports Council way over-priced the upper deck seats. Would have been a great chance for a $20 "value seat" or some kind of family pack for the top 10 rows or so.

How many upper deck seats???

My guess is 20,000

Let's says they sell 15,000 of those which looks very likely that is $675,000

As opposed to selling all 20,000 of them at 20$ each which would be $400,000

Looks like they make the right choice to me

Yeah, but see how I said the top few rows?

I was talking like 3 or 4k tickets tops. Just something to move a few more seats.

Yea that is interesting but my guess is those would have been sold and left the 45$ with the same amount of tickets left in the end.

IMO there aren't going to be enough left to question the price. A few weeks ago I thought like you do but I expect a huge walk up crowd

Fair enough, and I hope you're right.

Hopefully people have the sense to order them a head of time to avoid any cluster at the box office.

I wish they would push the fact that the Pride pregame, Jarnigan, Stearl the Pearl, etc will all be a part of it. Might move some more seats.

I posted this in the recruiting forum but I think Saturday is going to be the same kind of thing

A few years I decided to wait and try to buy tickets on the street in knoxville because the opener wasn't a sellout. I thought I would save money. Huge walk up crowd flooded the market and the line at the ticket office was massive. I ended up buying Tickets for over face value just to Make sure I saw kickoff. I bet that line was still lengthly halfway thur tje first qt.

I remember that. Seemed like it happened a couple season openers in a row.

Hopefully the weather calms down and the walk up business is brisk.

Meh. I want to see what football looks like on this new fangled 4K tv I just got so I'll be watching it at the house. I'm going to the OK game though.

I'm glad that you feel that way, I certainly don't, and if everyone else felt like you did it would be a sellout, but it's not.

Nothing like being apart of the experience on your couch...not. I gladly pay the $ to go when I can get off work. Obviously lazy people feel differently.

This argument is the equivalent of watching the Travel Channel and saying you've seen the world. Impossible to beat experiencing events in person.

Hopefully walkups day of push these numbers to a respectable amount.

Are you telling me my wife is not going to be happy with the Paris trip I have planned for us a 9 EST / 8 CT next Friday???

Joking aside, great comparison. Impossible to beat a game in person!
