From GoVolsXtra:
UT director of public relations Tiffany Carpenter said UAB fans have snatched up all of 800 tickets for this game. The result could be a lot of really noticeable empty seats as both teams look for their first victory of the 2008 season.
Quotes from Coach Fulmer:
"We've got to give everybody a lot to cheer about," Fulmer said after Friday afternoon's walkthrough at renovated Neyland Stadium. "Our fans are very important in this. Even the ones who sit the entire game with their arms crossed."
"UAB likes a no-huddle (offense) and it can make it tough on them if we can make it loud. The kind of loud Neyland used to be back in the 90's."
"To have an open date after a loss is no fun for anybody, but it was probably great for us at this particular time," he said. "I know it was great for me personally because it took me three or four days to find the new film room. Those renovations really had me mixed up."
Quote from Chavis aka The Angriest Man In The Vol Walk:
"They've got one receiver that would start anywhere in the SEC including here," Chavis said. "I know that's a big statement, but he's as good as we'll play against." - Ahh sh*t...
Road Kill: UAB hasn't had a lot of success on the road in recent years. The Blazers haven't won a road game since beating University of Texas at El Paso 35-23 near the end of the 2005 season. Therefore, look for a tight game against the Vols. Not only is UAB due, but the Vols will probably be looking ahead to the Florida game. We shall see. Go Vols!
