There is nothing to download to receive the PowerBoost upgrade. Just reboot your modem once by following one of the two procedures below:


For Comcast High-Speed Internet Subscribers:
Simply unplug your cable modem, wait 60 seconds, and plug it back in again. If a router is connected to your modem, please follow the manufacturer's instructions to reboot.


For Comcast Digital Voice Subscribers:
If you have one modem, called an eMTA, supporting both your Comcast High-Speed Internet and Comcast Digital Voice services, simply press the reset button located on the back of the eMTA. Be sure to use a pointed, non-metallic object to press the reset button. The unit will take 2-3 minutes to reset. You will lose dial tone during this time. If a home networking router is connected to your eMTA, please follow the manufacturer's instructions to reboot it.


If you have two modems, one for your Comcast High-Speed Internet service and an eMTA for your Comcast Digital Voice service, you don't need to do anything with the eMTA. Simply unplug your cable modem, wait 60 seconds, and plug it back in again. If a router is connected to your modem, please follow the manufacturer's instructions to reboot.
