We sat right in front of the them is Section A. My wife kept thinking they used jazz hands and were probably leads in the play. I am being honest. Can you tell me what the yell leaders and the people behind them in full dress military outfits are responsible for? I was not able to explain anything and was surrounded by A&M fans and they said they led cheers. I need a better explanation than that, please.

I had a direct view of the Texas fellas from ZZ. It was bizarre watching them, akin to a car accident you can't look away from. Every few minutes I was like, "the hell are they doing now?' Lol

The running joke is they are a cult.

But for real, they are a cult.

Honestly, there really isn't a much better explanation than that. The yell leaders have some sort of role in the "pep rallies" (they have a different name I can't recall) on Friday nights, but beyond that, it's mostly just a male cheerleader squad.

I actually asked an A&M fan after the game about what the calvary uniforms students were there for and he said that they were actually there in support of the mascot as the mascot outranks all of the cadets and they like his honor guard as best that I understood it walking down the ramp leaving the game.

He said that they and the yell leaders were just old traditions that would most likely never end.
