The Braves are 15-6 and 5 games ahead of the Mets and Nationals who are tanking. Looks like The Bravos are going to cruise to the NL East title

Hold your horses a bit there, we are less than a month into a 162 game season, not ready to declare anybody cruising to anything at this point.

I mean, the Braves and Nats were close. Hot start vs ****ty start brings them even or the Braves as the favorites now.

But, if the Nats can't make up 5 games over the next 140, they don't deserve the division? They have not played well at all. But there's a lot of season left.

RIP Rick Camp, passed away today (I believe). I am sure some of you old heads remember him.

First major league game I ever went to was that July 4 game where he hit the homer in the 18th inning.

Looking at his stats, he had a better career than I remember. I don't remember why he was done so early; I guess he got hurt.

RIP.

I think your Pirates will finally have a winning season this year. I think the Braves win 97-101 games.

We'll see. Our bullpen has been great thus far, but imo getting less than 5 inning out of your starting pitcher seemingly at least 3 times a week is not going to be a sustainable model. I like the pieces we have on offense a lot more this year especially with how Snider and Marte are playing, but Mcdonald is going to have to continue performing like these past couple of starts, and two of Francisco Liriano, Jeff Locke, Charlie Morton, Jeff Karstens, Gerritt Cole, or Kyle Mcpherson (if they ever figure out what this phantom arm injury is) will have to step up by the end of this season (already consider Sanchez a lost cause). A lot more optimistic about this year though than last year when Erik Bedard was our opening day starter and McCutchen was pretty much our only offense with the occasional streak from Pedro.

Also, I don't doubt the the braves are a 95+ win team. However, despite the nationals struggles up until this point they are a 95+ win caliber team as well that is bound to get things together at some point. Just don't see either running away with that division
