Most likely it. Like Verc said, if someone came out and gave us a clue as to what happened.. I may not be as skeptical towards Bok. Looking back, that was a giant circus.

LOL at when Gruden would mention "Tennessee Volunteers" on MNF. This place erupted.

Larry said that A) talks with Gruden were serious, but that B) it became clear that his demands (security/control-wise) were going to be too much for UT (or any school) to agree to, so C) UT moved on. Which makes sense, except that the "Gruden is 100 percent! He's putting a staff together!" stuff kept going strong right up to the 11th hour.

Best I can figure is that a major information gap widened between the top-level boosters and the mid-level guys, and that most peoples' sources were the mid-level guys. Still doesn't explain all the certainty though.

NFL fans are so starved in the offseason that apparently they will watch/read anything.

I'm a pretty big damn fan of both college football and an NFL team, and spending much time on it at all seems like a colossal waste to me. I'm interested in the 5-10 spots. I'm interested in what my team's general goals are, and whom they might hope to target with their first round pick. I'm sort of interested in how teams view my college team's players. I don't understand the obsession with the rest of it.

Which game that we lost do we win, though? Besides just dumb luck going another way. Crazy enough, his presence *may* have made matters worse. And I like DR.

Last season was astonishingly bad on defense. There could be annual coaching seminars on just our defense last year.

I agree on the defense and also, how he could have made things worse. I would just think we are at least a game better with that 3 headed monster. Hell we could have put CP at RB and let him tear up a miss st/mizzou.lol I'm not really the hypothetical type, just thinking out loud really.

maybe it lessens CP's ridiculousness and he returns for another season. that would have been nice.

2 coaches in years? I doubt it would have mattered. Especially since the NFL is now a passing league and there really isn't a standout at WR in the whole draft.

@AdamSchefter: Odd fact for odd draft: No. 2 overall pick will earn more than the No. 1 pick due to no state tax in Florida. So 2 not so bad.
