As always, the offense is just not good unless Dobbs running the ball is the primary threat, and we're not doing any of that. (And with his foot, we shouldn't be.) Couple that with Dobbs having another crappy day throwing and this is what you get.

As expected, the team is flat as hell too. Noon game against the worst team in the country. Whee. There's nothing the coaches can say to make UT's players think they can lose this game, and it shows.

Basically I'm not freaking out. The team is what it is. Stay healthy and move on to Missouri.

I wouldn't say I'm freaking out, but I don't think it's too much to ask for this coaching staff to have this team ready to play. And they do not.

I mean, it's tough GWN. We've got a host of young players dealing with both their first noon college game, and their first game of the year wearing orange pants. Add that to the obvious difficulties of having to downshift to sub-SEC opposition AND all the well documented challenge of playing in front of a home crowd and it was a lot for the staff this week.

I guess I've just come to believe that there's only so much college coaches can do to get their teams mentally ready for these grossly asymmetrical games. I mean, Urban Meyer has a playoff berth on the line and his team came out dead against Illinois today.

Hey, this is better than all those nailbiters against terrible Memphis teams back in the 90s. We actually lost one of those.

Come on dude. Illinois would beat N.TX by 40.
