Good luck and stay safe man. Not that it can't change again between today and this weekend but apparently the newest model has it banking hard to the right and heading back out to sea before we even see any rain. Yesterday we were in line for a direct hit. Looks like you guys are still in for an interesting Friday night/Saturday morning.

Any way to reroute and fly out of ATL? The worst weather we have in the forecast is a "slight chance of showers" on Friday.

In fact, the weather here is usually spectacular whenever a hurricane is bearing down on the southern US. Cool breezes, humidity drops....it's gonna be a beautiful weekend to be beautiful out on the deck.

Unfortunately the kennel where we keep the dogs is asking everyone to cancel reservations. They don't have a generator and are concerned about significant power outages. Looks like I'm not going to make it.

I have never got the hate for her. She's not great but not bad at all.

I really dont mind her the only thing that bothers me with female announcers for male sports is wtf do they know about playing? Softball and baseball are not even close to the same thing at the professional level.

Thank you, my thoughts exactly. Saying I'll skip watching a game bc she's calling it and will somehow "ruin" my baseball has never made sense to me.

Like most announcers, she's not great; she's not bad; she's mostly just auditory wallpaper. She's one of dozens of unremarkable announcers. If she were a man people wouldn't think anything about her at all, good or bad.

Joe Simpson played professional baseball for 11 years and it sure didn't help him any. Mendoza's better than he is.

WTF, man? What does that have to do with anything? Chip Caray, while not a shining example of great announcing, never played the game. I don't think that's a prerequisite.

Shes an analyst they typically are ex players. The color guys are the ones who typically didnt play aka chip caray. Like i said she is not bad at all just i wonder what does she really know about playing major league baseball?
