Tomorrow will be Ben Sheets' last career appearance. He said he will not ever pitch again. This was an inspiring comeback by a great guy -- Mark Bowman (@mlbbowman)

Big time props to the guy for making it back and putting together 4 or 5 great starts at a time when the starting pitching was in shambles and needed stability.

I honestly believe Minor will do well in the playoffs. He always seems calm.

I think so too, he isn't scared of the big stage and never been a head case. Always the same demeanor. He has the stuff. Always been there, he just hasn't always utilized it. This is a guy who was the staff ace with Strasburg in the rotation. Just got to stay consistent.

Minor has had the yips in at least three starts off the top of my head. He has had a great second half. I'm still nervous about him wetting the bed in G2.

He's not half as bad as this thread makes him out to be. He has clear value as a 4 or 5. We have cheaper 4/5 options but a lot of teams do not have the depth we do.

From the outside, it looks like the best move is to keep Hanson and hope he pitches well enough in spring to coax a semi-decent prospect out of someone.

I would hope somebody in the organization has some idea what the hell has happened to him though.

I hope they keep the ole boy around another year.. He has an awesome red beard.

Braves not looking good at season end! Hope they come back and take the fimal game of the season before the playoffs.

Just messin with ya. I don't usually find much time to post on volnation, but this thread is always a must read for me. You still got to admit that Minor has pitched pretty damn well the second half of this year.

He's been tremendous..don't know where we'd be without him and that 5 or so start tear by Sheets
