Atlanta Braves II

Would like to be a fly on the wall at Turner Field and be privy to what all scenarios are getting shot down by Wren.

I'm all for NOT trading away the franchise for a short term solution, but if Wren does this team the injustice of not making a move to improve the offense, he should be fired, canned, whatever you choose to call it.

I'm just ready for tomorrow so the speculation will be over. But we better do something. Would be hugely disappointing to just be cheap and stand pat.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post hears that the Astros prefer the Braves' prospects to the Phillies' prospects (Twitter link). Atlanta won't give up the "key guy," who is believed to be Mike Minor, Sherman writes.

But, who knows?

Disgusting if true.

Yeah. lets not give up our 4th best pitching prospect for a .290/.340./.450 player who hits 25 homers and good defense who is under control for two more years. what stupidity

Anybody else just catch the preview for the "Moneyball" movie on MLB?

Damn, it looks like it is going to be great.

SMDH. Get rid of Mike PLEASE!! Get the deal done, mike isn't all that special IMO. He's a 3 or probably 4 guy at the best, Pence would play everyday. Wow, just wow.

I agree. The Braves just do not have the offense to get out of the first round of the playoffs without upgrading the roster. This is a year they can get it done if they add a proven bat, but it's looking more and more likely that every other contender will upgrade except the Braves. I will give up on my hope that we are even a wildcard team without the upgrade. This team needs more O so bad Ray Charles could see it.

Disappointing. Wren has failed the team this year if that is true.

Failed the fans as well. Oh well, atleast football is around the corner. Sad thing is I'm a Titans fan, so I'm used to my teams low balling offers, and staying pat while everyone else scrambles to better themselves.

I wonder if Crazy Ted could be convinced to come back and buy the team.

Seriously, this is awful! I'm sick just thinking that we will get Ludwick. I've never seen a team a player away at the deadline and just won't pull the trigger..

If it were Teheran, Delgado, or Vizcaino, I could understand the reluctance. But Minor?

No offense to the guy, but we just drafted his clone. He doesn't have THAT much upside.
