I remember we had a discussion going a couple of months ago about where all the Vol fans were going to be for the UCLA game. The Alumni site still list Jock and Jills in Midtown, but I think it's closed down. I sent an email to the person they listed to contact, but got no reply.

So, let's figure out one location where we can descend upon. I don't think I can watch this first one on the couch.:dance2:

Rio Grande off Roswell rd in town. Barnacles in Alpharetta, 6000 Medlock Bridge Road if you want to go in burbs.

The avatar is the regiment flag of the 1st Tennessee mustered out of Murray county in middle TN. Maney's division. No hate involved, just great grandads unit. They were at Shiloh, Chickamauga and all the battles from Chattanooga to Atlanta.

I guess I'll change my avatar if it looks Klanish. Not a well know flag.

I was just ribbing you a little because of the whole flag issue down there. I have always liked the 10th Tennessee

I think I've been to Rio Grande before. But it was at lunch and no one was around. Is there a TN crowd there? Or was it just a sugestion?

The wife and I need some people to sing Rocky Top with.

I'm looking around for a spot as well. No cable right now, so I'm gonna hit a bar. I know there's a dedicated UT bar in the greater ATL area, I think it's somewhere in Alpharetta or Kennesaw.

Let me know where you'll be, we'll met up!

This is a great spot and is actually owned by my brother in law. Sounds biased I know, but it actually is a lot of fun and is definitely the new Tennessee fan club spot. Go Vols!

I'm near Peachtree City, which will be a haul to Alpharetta. But I'm willing to drive anywhere if I know there will be a TN crowd. And it's still closer than LA.

It's actually Maury County (but it's pronounced the way you spelled it). I only know this because I used to work there, and the people there seemed to be very sensitive about the issue for some reason.

Rio Grande will be packed with UT alum it is the official UT alum spot. I personally spoke with the guy in charge. Barnacles is the same thing for people in the burbs more of a family thing. Rio Grande will be more rowdy. This is the official spot according to UT's alum coordinator for ATL.

Boy, would my relatives be disappointed in me of they knew I hadn't bothered to learn how it's spelled after 40 years. I plan to drag the family up to Columbia for Mule Day in March, just to soak in the vib. And maybe get into the old family home which still stands in Spring Hill.

VolunteerHillbilly, that is one impressive flag. Never heard of it. I'm not sure if the slogan "Where glory waits you" would inspire me or scare the bejesus out of me.

Sounds like we'll be heading to Rio Grande. It will be closer for us coming up from South of town and we'll be leaving the childrens to watch at home. So rowdy will fit the bill just fine.
