I think Miss State gets the win, but they beat Carolina.

Who knows?

Lots of injuries and weird stuff happens between now and game days.

Makes you wonder how these guys get these jobs. Missouri will take a huge step back. That transfer QB is worse then Jalen Hurts when it comes to passing. USC will not escape Neyland with a win. They will not.

I'm usually always on your side because It's fun when you predict we beat teams that we have no business beating right now and pumping the 9-3 or 10-2, winning the East and all that, but when you tell others they don't know football and criticizing those that do it for a living, it takes some of the fun away. Jmho. Tifwiw.

Good sweetness I hope we beat MsSt...a 5 game skid in the center of the season could destroy our psyche and chances at winning anything past UAB...and perhaps even UAB.

Kelly Bryant is a legit QB. He’s a downgrade from Drew Lock but Missouri has a lot of returning starters and it’ll be a road game for us. And I assume they pick USC because we’ll be coming off a @Florida, Bye, Georgia, MS State, @Alabama series of games (though they will have just come off a Georgia/Florida run so we’ll see)

Not saying we will, but if we beat Ms.state we are good enough to run the table, except the Bama game. Barring injuries. We have coaches now that can keep them excited. ( I hope)

Kind of interesting to see a unanimous prediction of a Vols win over Miss St, but a lotta people in SEC and national media that are kind of down on Miss St and Moorhead. He's a supposed offensive guru, but Fitzgerald and the offense really took a step back last year under him and he had a great defense, most of which is gone for 2019. In their losses last year, they scored 7, 6, 3, zero, and 22 points. The most points they allowed in any one of those games was 28 - all were essentially winnable if they had some offensive output.

Our ineptitude against Muschamp might be the most frustrating thing about the last several years of Vol football if it wasn't for our struggles against Vandy. That guy simply isn't a very good head coach, yet we have never beat him.

I know we always have the Gators, UGA and Bama games circled on the calendar, but to me, the 2 most important games of the season are Miss. St. and USCjr. We have to hold serve at home and win these kind of games. These are winnable games that as of right now we are favored in in Vegas.

I will say, for reason unbeknownst to me, I am slightly optimistic about the Gator game. I think we will come ready to play in Gainesville after that complete 2002 style debacle of last year.

Bryant is a good dual threat QB, a good bit better with his legs than his arm. Playing with all that talent at Clemson as their starter, in 18 games, he threw 15 tds vs 9 picks. He’s neither Trevor Lawrence nor Drew Lock and his passer rating in 2017 was a good bit lower than JG’s last year.....with all that talent around him. He’s gonna have to show me before I’ll believe he’s a stud QB.
