Good ol' Mitch Light (editor)...it figures a Vandy grad would have the 'Dores as high as fourth in the east. The best thing about Athlon's is the photography and little else.

which is why I fully expect SOS to quit at the end of the year

it would be kind of fun to see SOS go out of coaching riding a 3 game losing streak to Vandy. Wonder who the last HOF coach was to do that?

South Carolina's not going to be a very good football team in 2009, but they'll find a way to beat Vandy in Columbia.

Someone needs to show this to the retard USClite fans over in the 'Spurrier Confronts Kiffin" thread...

Even after our worst season ever with a new coaching staff and more holes than a block of swiss cheese on offense we're still predicted 2 spots ahead of them...

I think it just hit me how bad it must suck to be a USClite football fan

Looks like the Gamecrocks' program has returned to its former greatness. Somehow, it is hard to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

It would be a nice stamp on the season if Spurrier would announce his retirment at the end of the season after a thumping at the hands of Kiffin and the Vols in Neyland. Talk about irony.

This prediction is out of whack, imo. No way FSU wins the ACC. Who is their go to WR? Do they have any WRs? VT is believable. I think Dabo and Clemson might come out of that side on top and play VT for the ACC title.

Look for Nebraska and Texas out of the Big 12

WVU in Big East

Penn State in the Big 10 with Ohio State finishing 3rd. I'm not sold on Pryor.

I'm going out on a limb, but I think Cal will win the Pac 10. I am inclined to think Oregon might make a run also. This will be the forst time in 7 or 8 years that USC doesn't win the Pac10

Florida and Ole Miss will play for the SEC title.

And UCF will win C-USA. Go Knights!

I think UNC is much more likely to win the ACC than Clemson. The Heels return a ton of starters on defense, and have a couple of receivers that are ready to step up and shine offensively. Not to mention that they're far better coached than the Tigers.

I think Ole Miss is the most overrated team in the country right now.

Remember what happened his last UT\UF game?

It kinda gives me a warm fuzzy seeing Nebraska there. Not completely sure why that is.

UNC isn't in UNC's division. The ACC is like the Big 12. You have lopsided divisions. FSU, Clemson, NC State, Wake... come on, tell me that Clemson doesn't stand a chance in that weak side of the conference. Then you have Miami, VT, GT AND UNC on the other side. UNC is a sleep, that's for sure, but I'm going with the Hokies this year.

As for Ole Miss, they may be over rated, but they return most of their players from last season. They are a sexy pick for the West. I'm not sold on CornDog land... They have yet to show us a good QB. Nor am I sold on the Elephant Tampons of TuscaLOSER. They lost way too much...yet I am so inclined to pick them based on coaching alone. Satan...er... Saban is one hell of a Gameday coach.

.

I'm well aware of the split divisions in the ACC. All I was saying is that I don't consider Clemson a threat to win the conference....I think UNC is far more likely to get it done.

Where is Fortay? Figured he would give some input for this topic.

Have you been to the "Spurrier Confronts Kiffin" thread recently?

Fortay is rapidly diverging into complete mental retardation...

At the rate he's going he won't even know how to use a computer in about 10 more posts
