Very credible source within athletic department just texted me. Kiffin's deal is done and both Coach O and Monty Kiffin are coming too.

I just got a text from ESPN saying that Chris Low is reporting deal is done, worth slightly over 2 million dollars, going to be officially introduced on Monday.

Chris Low was just quoted as breaking this story on espn.com during the b-ball game.

No chance. Wish I could but I wouldn't put this up on the forum if I wasn't 100% sure it was accurate.

Just heard during the BB game that Chris Low is reporting Kiffin is coming. Deal worth over 2 Mil.

Why would Coach O come here when Monty was coming? I think the reports that Coach O going to LSU would be accurate if Monty is coming here. No way Coach O drops NO to come to UT as anything less than the DC.

Doesn't really matter what I say as to who told me this because there isn't any way to prove it. Even if there were a way, I wouldn't because that wouldn't accomplish a thing. I'll just say I have a number of ties to the program and ran through the T every home game for four years.

At least the wait is over.

I know several folks are po'ed their man didn't get the job and a bunch are po'ed Kiffin got the job....BUT at least HOPE has returned.

That is shocking. I guess it makes sense if Monte isn't planning on staying long before retiring and turning the D over to Coach O.

Well this is very exciting, IMO...

I am, too, curious as to the joint Monty-Coach O angle... maybe Monty as DC and Coach O will just do the defensive line with promised promotion to DC after Monty goes... that'd make sense maybe.
