Everyone should appreciate how big he looks next to Croom.... because Croom is freakishly large.

It's amazing the type of ATHLETES we'll be trotting out of the field next year.

Josh Dobbs
Jalen Hurd
Preston Williams
Josh Malone
Jason Croom
Cam Sutton
Justin Martin
Darrin Kirkland Jr.
Jonathan Kongbo

Those are all guys who'll blow up the NFL combine when they come out.

No Wolf? Or is he too white?

I've been super high on Wolf. I'm confident he'll be a Greg Olsen clone in the NFL. I'm confident he can also be a first rounder.

He's not on the freak athlete list.

Neither is Derek Barnett so it's no knock on his game. I know he's legit.

You said athlete. If wolf is not on that list then the obvious reason you left him off is because he's white and your a racist.

See how that works?

D4H you seem like a smart guy and you bring some good information to this board. But some stuff you really gotta get out of your head.

If you had to pick out three from that list of players that you think are really gonna turn some heads this season, who do you think they'd be?

I think Martin will surpass Sutton this year. We saw flashes last year.

How many potential first rounders do you think are on the Vols roster that will be eligible for the next draft?

Dobbs
Hurd
Wolf
Barnett
Sutton
Martin

And maybe Coleman Thomas. But he desperately needs to improve his strength at the point of attack immensely.

He's on record saying at least 10 over the next 3 years.

We're gonna win back to back national titles in 2016 and 2017.

Here are our first rounders:

2017 - Dobbs, Hurd, Sutton, Barnett
2018 - Wolf, McKenzie, Tuttle, Martin
2019 - Kirkland, P. Williams

Others with first round potential: Coleman Thomas, Austin Smith, Stephen Griffin

I won't include the 2016 recruits yet since I haven't seen them play in college. However I could see one or two from this group (Kongbo, Guarantano, Byrd, Callaway, Warrior, and Tatum) developing into first rounders.

I could see seven or even eight going in the first.

I don't know about 2017. But I think we break some records like Ohio State this past year in the 2018 draft.

That's when the 2014 class will be seniors and 2015 will be draft eligible juniors.

I could see us having 10-12 guys drafted in total.

If josh Dobbs checks down this year we will be in the playoffs. He is off target a lot of times because he doesn't check down which then makes you hesitate which then makes you misplace the throw

Please explain, Travis, I'm not nearly as football smart as you and don't quite get what you're saying. But real interested in learning this. Thanks!

Why doesn't he do it? I mean he's a smart kid. I'm sure he watches the tape.

Why is he refusing to just take the check down?

Intelligence has nothing to do with instincts and trusting those instincts. Like when coaches talk about the game slowing down for certain players. If Dobbs waits too long on a play to develop instead of seeing quickly whether it will or won't be there, and looking on, he'll miss other opportunities.

I don't know if that is what Travis was saying, but I have noticed on some plays that Dobbs doesn't see the field well. He'll not see a wide open guy.

I think Josh has incredible attributes. I mean he is very talented, has good arm strength, mobile. I believe Travis is saying if he just takes the check down to an open back or tight end in the flat or drag route it helps the offense and Josh's completion percentage. If we can be balanced on offense, run the football and keep the defense fresh we will be happy come SEC Championship time in Dec.
