I'm not saying whether or not I think he deserves it right now. But I started thinking....at some point, if TN keeps getting turned down, he'll get an offer. At what point does that happen? If Gundy turns us down, what other candidates does Currie actually offer before Martin gets an offer?

Lets hope it doesn’t come to that..

I feel a lot of antipathy toward Tee after the times he has turned us down in the past. Not very excited about someone who i think doesnt really want to be here. I think he has chosen California over Tennessee for good.

Trust me brother. I'm with you on that. I love Tee, but if it gets to that point it means we're in deep poop. If he had been the OC at USC for longer it would be a natural move, but he's only had that position, what, two years now?

He wouldn’t leave for a similar position. He’s made it known he’d come home to be TCHFCATUTK. Make it happen Currie. If Peyton can’t handle it, he can see his way out of Knoxville.

Tee is actively lobbying for this job. Apparently, there is no love between him and Manning, which is why he can't get an interview.

Tee isn't close to ready. He would be a horrible fail. He's been an OC for 2 years, let the man get some experience before taking over a program of this magnitude...or a program period.

Me too and when he does something as a head coach somewhere then consideration is due. Norvel is a much better option.

Tee is one of the best recruiters in the nation and has his work with USC's offense has been phenomenal. He's been named one of the best assistants in the nation.

He'd crush recruiting, hire a great staff and could easily compete with Mullen and Smart for the East. He might not beat Bama with any sort of regularity. But Gundy wasn't going to do that either. Bring Tee home. Get this over with.

Coach Tee gets one of two offers: OC for Coach Kiffin or the reins to the Volunteers. Either one would be good for him and Vol Nation.

Whenever they realize how foolish they look. And by that point...Tee will probably tell them to take a hike. And who could blame him. Even though Gundy would've been a good hire, someone should've been talking to Tee the whole time. Shameful Peyton isn't "onboard". Better get Lane or Tee, or both, before they completely foul this up. No faith in them at this point

When does Tee get a head coach offer here? After he has proven himself as a head coach. May be a great recruiter and a decent OC but we Cannot afford to miss this time.

I love Tee Martin he brought us a championship, probably the only one I will see in my lifetime. But he is not ready. We would be setting him up to fail if we bring him into this dumpsterfire of a rebuilding project. The program is in a place where we need a proven Head Coach. Now is not the time for Tee Martin.

He might get one in ten years when the guy we’re hiring this weekend decides to hang it up.

I like the Idea of Tee Martin as head Coach. I don't think there is anything that can happen on the field that can rattle him, Force him into a bad decision or just plain bad choices like the trail of coaches lately. I also don't think the players would be making comments about being held back on offense. He currently represents coaching excellence at the highest of levels. I think also compared to what's left he is a solid choice. Lets face it Currie is cheap he will never let go of the kind of money to get anybody better. I think this as already been proven!

1) fire Currie
2) hire PF as AD and interim hc for 1-2 years (can’t believe I am saying this)
3) hire Tee as oc and agreement he is to be groomed for hc when PF retires
4) get a bone crushing dc
5) recruit all of Travis Henry’s kids
