Kinda thought the same. I also think keeping them coming off the bench keeps them hungry. They both get plenty of playing time.

It’s not as drastic of a change as you’re making it out to be.

I just think overall that springer and Johnson are more talented than Bailey and Josiah James, but it’s all marginal and all lineups are playing really well

People get way too hung up on who starts... All that matters is the minutes played. This rotation when it's all said and done will be trimmed down to about 8 with the 9th person Walker/ORN having limited minutes (maybe Uros if the other team has a big 7 footer) ... then maybe Gaines as someone who can come in if we have foul trouble, or an injury/sickness at the wing position.

No matter the lineup we are going to have folks that could easily start not starting. But Barnes rotates well, they all play plenty of minutes and we need them all. Starting isn't a big deal when you are playing plenty of minutes. And the starting lineup could change quite a bit, it's kinda of a motivation thing when you have so many good players. I like how this team seems to enjoy each other, no big time egos and they play well together. Everybody shines. GBO!!!!!

That’s pretty much what we have. There is a clear group of 7, Anosike is 8th in minutes but since he’s the 3rd post either his minutes need to increase or another big needs to step up. Ticket is kind of an insurance policy or a challenging matchup situation for some right now that is a long term project. Walker is the biggest unknown, but should likely focus as a 4 for now. If he’s a 4 year player than he can work on fitting in more on the perimeter as an upperclassman. Grant worked on his outside game as his career progressed.

The good thing about bringing the 2 freshmen off of the bench, more players can be happy with their roles. The more experienced guys can start and the freshmen can have growing minutes. Statistical facts will be there supporting the reason any starter sees fewer minutes. I like the current rotation a lot.

When the team is shooting like it did last night, I don't think it matters who starts. I believe we can beat anyone in the country if we shoot 50 percent and make 3s. Managing roster minutes is probably one of the biggest challenges when you have this much talent. Especially when you have a solid 8 players who bring something to the table in games but also get after it in practice and all play good defense.

It's crazy to think that currently Tennessee basketball is so deep that 1 or 2 five star talents can't start. Amazing. Never thought I'd see that

It's rare to see that depth outside of Kentucky/Duke and it virtually never happens there because they rarely have starter level upperclassmen, especially at Kentucky.

Repingjng this because it’s officially mid season and I told you all so. JJJ is the most improved player this year.

You didnt tell us ish. You are still wrong. Our best lineup replaces Fulkerson with JJJ. silly rabbit. Bumping your own post and still wrong...ouch.
