would you take a 5 win season if it meant Fulmer would be gone? I'd love to see us do good, but as far as I'm concerned this team is going nowhere and it's already pretty much a wasted season. I think I would take 5 wins and Fulmer out the door. The more I think about it, the more I think we'll be lucky to get 5 wins

Okay just for fun I made this, but I am of the old adade "Visualize it then do it." So my message to the powers that be: Here's your visual, now go do it!
I know I am probably gonna get ripped apart for this, but I don't care. Even if it's a far fetched rumor, I love the idea of Pete Carroll at Tennessee.
Take this image and email it to them(the brass in charge) over and over and over again.

GO VOLS!

I still want the vols to win even if it meant having to keep fulmer. However after tonights play a 6 win season and a trip to the liberty bowl sounds exciting.

6 wins and a liberty bowl never sounds exciting to me. ;)

I want Fulmer gone. If it has to get worse before it gets better, then fine. We've been wallowing in mediocrity for years now, and it wasn't enough to make a change. Now we are declining at a progressive rate. If he sticks around any longer, it will take the new coach that much long to dig this program out of a hole.

6 wins would normally not be exciting at all. However after tonight's performance. 6 wins is a big goal.

I want them all gone fulmer , chavis everyone. I just cant hope the vols lose no mater what.

I can appreciate that. I just don't want to see Fulmer just do enough to skate by for another season.

It won't happen this season. Unless Nick Stephens prompts some sort of miraculous turn around. We'll get 5 or 6 wins, but the way things have been going, sounds like the boosters are finally ready to put Fulmer behind the 8-ball. IMO we will have to play for the SEC title next year in order for Fulmer to keep his job.

Let's see how things go. If we get 5 or 6 wins, Fulmer stays.

You have to remember that based purely on connections, Fulmer has always been one of the most untouchable coaches in the college game. Right there with Bowden and Paterno. This is not like other SEC programs where a couple of bad seasons will get you ousted. Guys like Fulmer have to have prolonged bouts of being mediocre/bad in order to get canned.

Tonight cleared a couple of questions for me....
1. Are we good? Not really.
2. Is Auburn good? No.
3. Is flamabama good? No.
3. Is our backup QB is better than our starter. Yes
4. Is Fulmer still a good coach? Yeah.
5. Has Fulmers ability to get great players in gone? Not totally.


We have some very good players. Nothing like in the past tho, Eric Berrys is awesome though.


Do I think Fulmer should go? Probably not.. Who will be better than him? Not many..

Lets not make a change, just to make a change.. If people insist on making a new coach (and it wont come from here, it will come from the boosters with the $$) then so be it. Fulmer has been a good coach with 1 thing in mind, and that Tennessee Football. Don't you clown Fanboi's forget that.

Sorry the stats say something different than fulmer is a good coach.
If your saying florida , alabama and auburn are not good. I guess we really suck then. Since 2 out of 3 of those teams have already beaten us this year.

No. Auburn is bad, the team handed the game off to them. Bama has been exposed by Tulane early and Kentucky.

Florida is a top 10 team, and it makes me puke.

We will see how much Bama is exposed the latter part of this month. Auburn is bad, and we lost to them. Florida is good, but not world beaters. Fulmer makes Urban Meyer look like a genius.

sorry I guess you were just trying to be funny when you started to spell Alabama with a FL.

doesnt really matter either way.. bama is 5-0 right now. and they get a week off before they have to play us.
