I hear a lot of people on here saying he needs more time and that he inherited a mess. I don't know how you support a guy that has 0 big wins in 2+ years and his teams progressively get worse over the course of games. He makes no adjustments and consistently gets out coached by everybody. It just blows my mind how he is still our coach because honestly a guy off the street could do just as good as him imo.

Pretty easy considering he's done an excellent job digging the university out of one of the deepest holes I've seen in my lifetime

Dooley needs a new Offensive Coord. Someone who can instill discipline into the players. Much like Cutcliffe had to do under Fulmer because he couldnt get it done. Gene Chizik at Auburn had a worse track record than Dooley and we all know what he done. Why? Because he had a solid proven Offensive Coord. I wish u guys would let the yr play out and move on. I know it's hard but there is a lot that can happen.

I'm willing to say if u was the coach we would be getting blown out in the 1st qtr.

I'll bite....yeah, I still support him. My support is waning however.

I understand the hole we'll dig ourselves with a rush to change, and am willing to let it play out. If we tank the rest of the year, changes will be made. If he does enough to survive another year, he will have stocked the cabinets again for the next guy, and we'll truly be able to judge him while using his own personnel. If he fails based on wins and losses, he will have been a successful rebuilding coach IMO, based upon how much better shape the program is in than he arrived.

Because he is the head coach at UT at least through the end of the year and not supporting him or the team makes no sense because you, nor I, can do a damn thing about it. You can still support, while still having your own opinion of what will or should happen. That takes a mature outlook though, and that's not rampant right now.

He's 17-12 without Newton at Auburn.

When the Alabama game is about 50/50 Bama-Tennessee fans, I would say the fans have done a lot about Dooley's job.

When about 70,000 people show up to watch Tennessee beat Akron, I'd say the fans are doing something about it.

I support him. I think he has done a fairly solid job so far, given what he took on. Granted, hes had an issue with halftime adjustments and second halves, but none of us no what the real deal is. Some say they quit, they may be just gassed. I think he can right this thing. If he cant, then we will replace him.

Dont look for that to happen unless all hell breaks loose the rest of the season.

Because he's the head football coach of the University of Tennessee Volunteers....
This has to be the reason. I think some people don't care how many games he wins or loses. He's the vols coach so that's all the reason you need to support him. Truth is he sucks as a head coach. Make all the excuses about depth and the mess he walked into you need to justify his teams being lousy. I wonder after he gets fired if his phone will be ringing off the hook with head coaching job offers like fulmers.

That's not supporting the team and players as well, not just a Dooley stance.

You said fans can't do anything about the HC situation. They can.

Then the fans that want to try and play that game shouldn't have been part of the atmosphere Saturday.

And let's not act like there aren't empty seats in every SEC stadium with games lime akron, bg, w ky, etc. That's been happening for several years now.
