I don't start the threads but I enjoy all of your threads and comments throughout my time on Volnation.

I was at the game and then I watched the game I recorded as I do every game. I sat in YY8. I had a great view of both sidelines. The difference between viewing both for me and many at the game was the fake injuries that you could not see the complete story on television. I named the plays Rebel Down 3 and Rebel Down 4. Every time the injury occurred the defense would send 3 or 4 replacement players out, depending on the need. Then you could see the injured player receiving high fives from coaches and other players. This happened 10 or 11 times as everyone is aware of. The Jumbotron shows the player looking to the sideline and then falling down.
As for the 4th and 24, I could not tell if it was the correct spot from my seat. The Jumbotron replays have maybe 3 views that clearly show it was a bad spot. We did not see the fourth view that was on television. I was so angry that I had to leave because I felt I would do something stupid.
I am not condoning the actions that took place after I left but I knew I needed to leave. I do not drink and I don't have a bad temper. I am tired of seeing my Vols fighting and getting screwed. I have been a Vols fan for over 50 years.
I am trying to state there is a huge difference in seeing this unfold live as to watching the television. We are the best and soon everyone will fear us again. GO VOLS.

I have a few plans related to the injuries that I think will end it immediately.

1. The team with an injury does NOT get a "free timeout." All uninjured players must stay between the hashes. Water may be brought to them but not by a coach. Other team gets to go to the sideline.

2. The team with an injury may NOT substitute other than the injured player. The other team may sub all they want.

3. Injured player is out until the series ends. At any time during the series, the team may choose to expend a timeout to allow all "injured" players to return during the series.

No more faking.

#1 - I like it except both teams should stay between the hashes to prevent intentional injuries to gain a "free timeout"
#2 - IMO it may encourage intentional injuries while getting to benefit from it. If the offense is allowed to sub, the defense should be allowed as they always have; otherwise, only sub for injured player

You are 100% correct. After seeing the replays on the Jumbotron live, I absolutely felt like we got screwed. I was livid leaving and had someone handed me a golf ball I would have definitely threw it. It is a completely different deal in the moment in the stadium. It also didn’t help that we had a very drunk Ole Miss fan directly behind us that talked trash for 5 HOURS.

Did your DVR get the entire game? Mine only allows to extend an hour, so I didn’t even get the whole thing recorded.
