We won't get to 6-6. We beat MTSU and Kentucky, but not Arkansas and Vandy is doubtful. Unless Bray is healthy for Vandy, just don't see it without a solid running game.

I'd take music city bowl, but the vols might be more likely to hit the BBVA compass bowl (Birmingham bowl)

I don't see how we get to 6-6.

At our current pace and injured players, winning 3 out of 4 seems like a stretch. I would be more happy to win a conference game. We all said it at the beginning of the year. Depth was going to be our Achilles Heel. We wouldnt be very good if a few players got injured. Well thats where we are at. Im not sure sure we could win a bowl game much less get to one. TRUTH

Poll should maybe add the Compass/Birmingham bowl...a 9th pick finish (2 BCS team's or not) still seems pretty likely among these scenarios

Let's see Nashville has Adelphia a recently built professional stadium connected to downtown Nashville by a new walking bridge with beautiful views of the River and walking distance access to nightlife, resturants and an indoor arena for the pre concerts and pre game festivities.

Memphis has the crumbling Liberty Bowl built in 1963 that sits in a dilapidated run down abandoned fair grounds area in very rough orange mound area that is no where near resturants, downtown, nightlife the river or any walking distance attractions.

Hummmm… Ill have to think about this and get back to you.

As long as we don't fall to the BBVA Compass Bowl, I'd be fine (though I'd certainly prefer to not visit Memphis).

Music City Bowl was incredibly fun last year, it was like a home game for Tennessee. Nashville blew me away and everybody I went with had a blast.

Houston would murder us, so hopefully no Liberty Bowl, although that game would draw a national audience. Vanderbilt would be a good team for the Liberty Bowl, smaller stadium, closer to Houston, and both schools should be able to come close to selling it out.

I honestly don't think we make a bowl game this year, but if we do I suspect it will be the Music City Bowl again. We would probably play Miami, UVA or Wake Forest. NC State or UNC would be the ideal opponents due to proximity, but we start 2012 against NC State and just played UNC, so I don't either school would want to do that. I have an odd feeling we would play Miami, but that's just me. I think that would be a pretty evenly matched game. UVA wouldn't be bad either.

Music city: ACC#6

Liberty bowl: CUSA #1 (or Big East #5)

BBVA Compass Bowl: Big East #5 (or Sun Belt)

I feel much better about our chances of finishing 7-6 (assuming we get to 6-6 and go bowling) in the Compass Bowl.

How are we going to any bowl game at 5-7? That's what I think we'll finish. We lose to both Arkansas & Vandy. We beat both MTSU & Kentucky. That's 5-7 I do believe.

Yes, we are going to get beat by Vandy this year. Franklin has those guys playing with fire. That's something we don't have! Vandy is the better team this time around. :ermm:

good grief: who cares!? The bowl system is a joke--full of bad teams like us and bad games that nobody cares about.

If UT goes 5-7 can they still get a bowl game somewhere? There are so many bowls now, they may take UT even with a losing record.
