If you go to the Vol Walk, do you have enough time to get to your seats before kickoff?

More than enough. It happens right in front of the stadium well before kickoff. If you do that, you should stick around and watch the band march in.

Yes, and the band marching in is pretty cool too, especially if you've got kids with you. At least our band is great.

I can't get the family to join me, so I'll be solo this trip. I will also plan on seeing the band as well.

This will be, by far, the largest crowd I've ever seen at a game. The next largest was at Alabama during the Bear era.

I've lived in Nashville since '89, and I've heard the games in Knoxville are second to none. I can't wait!

You will have a great time but know the normal electricity will NOT be in the air. Dont think I meant because of your team.

Im certainly not gonna be bold enough to predict a win over Tennessee at Neyland although its not beyond the realm of possibility. stAte wont be bothered by the crowd. That wont be a factor. Not trying to diss the UT fans at all but we have a lot of veterans who have played before SEC and Big 12 crowds every year so they are used to that. We will blitz a lot on defense and your QB better throw pinpoint passes or he will get picked off more than once. Our two dbs are nfl caliber and will probably get drafted. Both are seniors. We also have a senior LB, Coby McKinnon, who manages to disrupt or pick off passes every game. On Offense we have a sophmore QB who plays like a senior. He wont hesitate to run with the ball and is very fast and can throw accurately on the run and can also throw deep to some good handed receivers, he has a cannon for an arm. Where our biggest concerns are is with special teams. We dont cover well and dont return well. Thats where UT will have the edge. Our OLs are over 300 across with two at 345 and we have depth at those positions. FG kicker is pretty good..not great but gets the job done usually. Should be a close game as ASU should compete well and give UT all they want.

I thought we were playing ASU, I think he may have just described the Gators....:birgits_giggle:

You guys have had trouble defending the spread, and thats exactly what we do best. Our Qb rushed for 70+ yards and 3 TD's on saturday.

Texas could not stop our offense. We only were forced to punt twice. Red zone is a different story, but we were 7 for 7 against SMU, so maybe that has improved.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that our team will be a pushover, but I dont expect us to win.

Vol Fans - Looking forward to seeing Neyland and the Vol faithful this weekend. I've heard there's nothing like hearing Rocky Top sung by 100k Volunteers. I can't wait.

I'll be on the sidelines with my Indians and all I'm going to say is that I'll be in Scarlet and Black. But if you're curious, I'll be the good looking one. I'll probably have the Vol Dance Team and Cheerleaders around me.

The truth about our football team.. we have the best team we've had in a while at stAte. Understand, I've sat thru 2 1/2 decades of the worst football you could imagine. We finally have a team that's capable of playing decent football. We're not a SEC team b/c of depth, finances, etc... But we have a team that can compete and is not intimidated by much.

My only concern is that we don't show up focused. The SMU team we whipped Saturday was the same team we thought we would whip last year in Dallas - lost 55-9. If we're focused - we're competitive, if we're not - I'll hear Rocky Top more than I want to.

What's the weather look like for Sat?
