I'm glad to see a couple of posters beat me to it about the "ruined" season comment.

Yeah. ASU definitely gave us all we wanted. And to the two ASU fans on here...Sorry the stupid-assed refs had to blow the onside kick call. That was bush-league.

I think I can speak for many Texas fans by saying that we were thouroughly impressed by your team.

As for the TN v. ASU game... Good luck to both teams. I wonder if TN will come out pissed as hell and take it out on the field.

Doubtful. They were supposed to do that after losing to Cal embarrassingly... instead they took the mid-major in common TN fashion, then got even MORE embarassed by Florida.

Sun Belt got wins over Minnesota and Oklahoma State in the past few days, I'm really hoping the team comes out mad as h*ll and doesn't overlook this bunch.

Im certainly not gonna be bold enough to predict a win over Tennessee at Neyland although its not beyond the realm of possibility. stAte wont be bothered by the crowd. That wont be a factor. Not trying to diss the UT fans at all but we have a lot of veterans who have played before SEC and Big 12 crowds every year so they are used to that. We will blitz a lot on defense and your QB better throw pinpoint passes or he will get picked off more than once. Our two dbs are nfl caliber and will probably get drafted. Both are seniors. We also have a senior LB, Coby McKinnon, who manages to disrupt or pick off passes every game. On Offense we have a sophmore QB who plays like a senior. He wont hesitate to run with the ball and is very fast and can throw accurately on the run and can also throw deep to some good handed receivers, he has a cannon for an arm. Where our biggest concerns are is with special teams. We dont cover well and dont return well. Thats where UT will have the edge. Our OLs are over 300 across with two at 345 and we have depth at those positions. FG kicker is pretty good..not great but gets the job done usually. Should be a close game as ASU should compete well and give UT all they want.

I can understand why you guys would be grumpy after that game. Heck if we would have slipped up against SMU we would pretty much be the same way.

Totally agree, the longer they hang around the more confidence they gain, don't forget they were in this situation before with Texas.

Should be a good game.....but don't waltz in here and think the crowd doesnt make a factor......

You've had your unfair amount of rudeness spread toward you. On the behalf of VN I apologize. I'll try to register on the ASU board tomorrow. Should be an interesting discussion

Im sure they will be as loud as any team weve faced but Im just saying this is a veteran ASU team that isnt easily rattled by that stuff. There are three teams in the SunBelt that are the cream of the crop. Troy, FAU and ASU. This team will be disappointed with anything less than a 9 win season.

Since coming to D-1 in 1992 Arkansas State has not won more than 6 games in a season.

9 wins, a little lofty?

Yeah right up there with such stupid ideas as a former women's college competing in Division I football, the idea that University of Miami board of trustees should listen to the AD's pleas to reverse the decision to move down to I-AA, the idea of a junior college in Boise eventually moving to I-A as a four year school, the crazy idea of a school going from no football to the Big East in a decade.

Back in 1936 I'm sure people thought Minnesota would remain a national football power along with fellow ranked teams, Santa Clara, Yale, Duke, Penn, Duquesne, Fordham, and Marquette.

Just as I'm sure the European powers 200 years ago never thought they'd have to rely on the ignorant backward Americans and their weak navy and army to save them from other world powers.

Nothing is constant in life and its unpatriotic and un-American put down those trying to achieve simply because they've not obtained their goals yet.

Dear friend please be more honest with your fan base support. I'm an ASU fan too, but last night we had around 17,500 in the bleachers, while the Razorbacks probably had 1.5 million television viewers within our state calling the Hogs!

Failed that reading course huh?

Arkansas State may not have had a big crowd but I'd hope you are intelligent enough to have read the post because it didn't say ASU draws as well as Nutthogs, it said the Nutthogs ain't the only game in the state.

Don't underestimate how loudly 107,000 fans can grumble.

Why would nine wins be a lofty for us? Its only a matter of time before it does happen, so why not this year? The only team left that can really give us problems outside of UT is Troy. Memphis=win, Both UL's=win, MTSU=win, FIU=win, FAU=tough one but we get that one I think, UNT=win. 8 wins right there.
