I mean come on, it is so damn obvious we are firing Jeremy Pruitt with the mass exodus of coaches and players. Can we just do it already? I didn't think it would be possible for an administration to do much worse than the 2017 Coaching Search, but we're putting the new coach in a really, really tough position for next season each day we wait to pull the trigger.

I don't think this is a big loss because look at how weak our team was this year. We were out of shape badly.

Ding ding ding. We have winner!

This is my biggest or 2nd biggest issue with our teams since the latter part of Butch's tenure. Just overall culture is the other.

Fans tend to blame everything else in the world on team performance, but the Jimmies and Joes gotta be able to push the other guy around for 40 minutes if you want to win championships. We have been in an uphill battle even sometimes against the small non-conference opponents, because we simply haven't matched up strength-wise.

With COVID-19, it is a little hard to judge these things, but at the very least, our offensive line has way underperformed for years. I don't see how this is a big loss, at least. It may be addition by subtraction at best.

Please get rid of fulmer now as well he’s part of the problem in prolonging this garbage. We have become the biggest laughing stock in college football because we fail to react in a timely manner

They had no summer work outs because of covid.
Interesting how COVID impacted TN more than other teams regarding QB development, S&C, OL play, DL play, LB play, etc.

No team had on-campus workouts, but we still got pushed around. S&C set remote protocols for the team and some teams figured out how to make it work. Others didn’t.

Not a big deal all they have to do is download the Fitbod app. I’ve lost a couple pounds already and got my bench up to 155.

Yeah, you downgrade in DL coach, you keep the same loser QB and OL coaches, you hire a guy with no P5 experience to coach LBs, you move a guy from TE to LB, and hire a guy with no D1 experience to coach TEs and you wonder why the DL, LB, TE, OL, and QB all regressed...

Yep, other than those areas, we had a pretty good program...

Dude you can do work out without having to go to the gym to maintain strength. This is something our guys seems to have not done. You build muscle in the offseason and maintain it during the season. The lack of this was evident in how weak we were at a lot of positions.

I know this is probably fan-tasy (see what I did there, like fan fiction but I said fan-tasy) but it seems to me like maybe the donors set a number, and said they'd be willing to give this much, but no more, so the AD (dept, not just the person) is trying to get guys to leave on their own, biding their time til they can go back and say, "Well, we did it, now give us the money so we can get on with this."

The other part of this is the investigation ... lingering ... like a snowman in temps just above/around freezing.

And, in my humble not so knowledgeable opinion, maybe just maybe Pruitt wants to negotiate while UT wants to pay nothing and they are trying to hash this thing out so everyone gets some of what they want, rather than the whole thing and everyone involved gets burned to the ground. They could be calling each other's bluff in negotiations, because both parties know the other has so much to lose if they burn it down.

I mean, what else makes sense?

These guys are looking to advance, they don't want to be #2-5 in the S&C Dept forever. This one I cannot blame for wanting to go back home.
