I think this certainly goes without saying! There's a reason Saban and Smart were in a dog fight over Bama's S&C. It's one of the most crucial cornerstones of a football program and is often under valued in naive administrations.

Whether or not it's one of the root causes of the historic number of injuries this year or not. It's obvious to any fan of the game who has observed top programs around the nation over the years, that our players are not adding the muscle definition and mass you see in other programs! And it's even more magnified on game days when we're the clearly the more talented team, but can't dominate in the trenches even when we are healthy!

This isn't a sinking ship it has talent that isn't being brought along and developed good enough. This place has everything you need to be successful if your a great recruiter and coach, a great fanbase and plenty of resources. This isn't a sinking ship it just needs to a top flight coach to steer the ship. The cupboard is not nearly as bare as it was for Jones, at least Jones did recruit better than Dooley he and his staff just can't on the field coach nor develop talent good enough. GBO!!!!

May sound a bit childish here....but why in the hell delay the inevitable? Why let the roster dwindle to nothing before making a change? I understand the AD situation currently, but dang. Texas and LSU have their guy. Whose our competition?

they may not... would likely need an AD in place that could give some assurances and give 2-3 year contracts/ how talented they are can be debated

rumors have been out there for a few weeks. Sure Butch's agent is checking around on behalf of all his clients.

Be surprised if either of those places are willing to pay what it would take to bring Butch there.

You think he'd take less money to have less pressure? If he really is feeling it the way some have said...
