I was waiting to post a new thread about this game until I played it a little bit. I've logged maybe 3-5 hours on it so I'm certainly not that far into it by any stretch, but this game is better than the original for sure. I didn't play the second one, so I can't compare them.

Unlike the original, the missions and objectives have all been different so far. You don't check in and get a kill contract to fulfill the whole time. There are side quests and abstract things to do aside from the main part of the game. You have much better weapons this time around including a crossbow and have the ability to command your own assassins and send them on missions.

There's also an online/multiplayer game too. I haven't played it yet (so I don't know how good it is) but evidently there's 4-5 people in each match that are trying to assassinate one another.

Like I said, I'm not too far into the game yet but it's definitely worth picking up. I'll post every now and then as I get further along with the game.

getting this for christmas. can't wait.

Did you play the previous ones?

Either way, you won't be disappointed. It will fill you in on the story line briefly to get you spun up on current events. It's a really fun game and can be challenging at times. The graphics are top notch as usual, but the different missions and objectives are what I'm digging the most right now.

You should. I'm pretty far into the game and i love how they kept the city buiding from the second one. I like that they brought back DaVinci as well. The assassin guild is pretty cool and handy to have if you get in a pinch since you can call them in to help. Overall it is a great game, and once i play the multiplayer i'm sure i'll keep it. Looking forward to more. I'm not sure about leaving the animus tho... it does lend to the story and help, but i'm just glad you can pick and choose for the most part when you leave. i would say pick it up. mos def

Second one was better than the first one; that's where they made the change away from the things you said were negatives with the first

Brotherhood isn't so much change-up the series game as it is more "keep what's selling well rolling and add multiplayer"

Little update....

The more I play this game the more I'm liking it. It's starting to remind me of Oblivion to a degree from the standpoint of a huge open map and the ability to do your own thing. There's not quite as much to do as oblivion, but you don't have to follow the story line which is a nice change. As you free parts of Rome you can pay to renovate shops, underground tunnels, and take on side missions for the other factions. The more stuff you renovate the more money is deposited into your account. I just figured out that when you open up art shops you can buy treasure maps and stuff too.

I haven't tried exiting the machine yet and playing the real time character nor have I tried the multiplayer. I might do that tonight.

Can somebody tell me why it has an M rating? I know what the box says, but what are the sexual situations in the game? My ex got this for my 15 year old son against my protests and I want to know what he is going to be seeing.

Bloody man on man rectal penetration.

Really I dont know, what gets the sexual warning deal is generally quite mild, though.

The 2nd one only had flirtations in Italian and wasn't anything I would worry about for my 12 year old sister.

I don't know about this one, though. It's been a classy series.

There isn't nudity ( i haven't seen any so far) however there was an intimate seen between the main character and one of his main squeezes near the beginning of the game. It's probably rated M due the the blood flying and sexual references/talk. Honestly, for a 15 year old I wouldn't think there's anything he hasn't heard or seen before.

no i havent but it might be cool. You're given a target to assasinate and someone has you targeted. If you can use a crossbow i'll post up on a bench.
