Hard to find a bad restaurant in SF.

North Beach - Tomasso’s and Trattoria Cantadina are classics. Gary Danko is amazing if you don’t mind spending some dough.
Plenty of good restaurants nearby in Russian Hill and the Marina.
Tiki Bar at the Fairmont, rooftop at the Mark Hopkins for cool touristy stuff.

Napa
Model Bakery in the morning for the best English Muffins you have ever had.
Bistro Jeanty in Yountville. My favorite restaurant in the valley not named French Laundry.
Bistro Don Giovanni.
Oenotri.
Norman Rose for a local spot.
Celadon.
Mustard Grill
R&D to have a cocktail outside.
Cole’s Chop House for a Martini.
