Thanks Grizz, I get what you mean. When we were stationed in Japan a friend invited us to go to the Gospel Service and I enjoyed it. One of the ushers challenged me and said he was happy to see me but predicted we would never come back. We came back and before the end of the month I was singing in the Choir...
When my friend started this church 3 years ago we kept promising to visit. Finally did back in November last year and discovered more of our friends and neighbors going there than the church we were attending so we switched. I'm tall and goofy and very pale compared to the rest of the men there but they don't care and neither do I. My 16 year old son (well, I'm his guardian) who is black grew up in churches like this so he is at home. My 14 year old (white) says he can worship anywhere and has been making friends. My 12 and 11 year olds (black, born in south africa) haven't bothered to try--they are the ones I'm confused about. Doesn't matter, they don't really have a choice in the matter.
York your doing a hell of a job with those kids I'd give you dad of the year award hands Down my friend.
