All world champions and saw their careers fall off a cliff after working at Williams.

Is Williams a crappy place to work?

Nobody has asked, but yes, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the greatest track in the world.

The thing that will become very common on performance cars and trucks, will be the supercharger feeding the turbo. Detroit has started using this on there diesel engines.

With the growing EPA standards, I think it will become common in smaller vehicles too.

I have to say I was a little disappointed. My buddy that I go to Indy with every year said he was a little disappointed too. He has been going on and off since '87 and hasn't missed one since '97. He said he was hoping they would sound like the turbo motors from back in the day.

I thought the turbo's on the Indy motors would be a little louder, but with the engine change it almost seems like it quietened them down.

The turbos actually act as a muffler of sorts. The turbo f1 cars were much quieter than their na counter parts.

I guess my expectations were a little high. I think I was hoping to be able to hear the turbo's a little more than I did. Some of those expectations can be blamed on my friend that I go with because he talked the turbo engines up a lot.

Side note: I would love to go to an F1 race sometime. Good chance I will try to make the F1 race in Texas next year.... if race actually happens.

Do go!!! Great time. Go to all the practices and qualifying sessions.

The race will happen.

they said tonight on SpeedCenter that the track in Texas is over 50 percent finished and that next years race was already sold out with a waiting list of over 250 people.

What track? COTA? They race this year.

Also that wasn't a question.

Think they will get everything worked out and finished on time? Didn't I read or hear on tv somewhere that they two guys who own the track were disputing over something and were going to court to settle it?

I really think they will.

I hope you are right because I have a friend that just moved to Texas and I would love to go visit him and see my first F1 race all at the same time.

Edit: Not sure why there is a frown smiley on there. I did not put that on there
