Love it! Arizonas steakhouse has a seared ahi tuna salad. I usually get it if we go there for lunch at work.
Dude. Get a couple of pieces from Publix, make sure it's nice and red in color.
A) put it in a Ziploc and let it take an ice bath for about 30 minutes. Slice it thin and slap some wasabi on it and dip it in soy sauce.:good!:
B) Dredge it in olive oil, cover both sides with Cavanders Greek Seasoning and sear both sides in a hotass black iron skillet. Get the seasoning crisp on both sides 20-30 seconds should do it.
I have a buddy that brings me back about 50 lbs of salmon, halibut and rockfish from his annual fishing trip to Alaska. I only have to trade him some Tenn. moonshine. No comparison to store bought.
After extensive research last night on Talapia I told the wife to never bring that crap into the house again.

I'll def have to try this. Good thing is, I don't have to share around my house. My wife and Nat don't eat fish. Chance will only eat fried fish(fish sticks).
It's not easy finding "fresh never frozen", but if I'm not mistaken, there is only one company that sells Ahi "fresh Flash Frozen" and that's what you will find at Publix. It will be in 6-8 oz. IQF portions.
Fresh Ahi Tuna's "shelf life" is shorter than other fish but not necessarily the "quality" that's compromised as much as the "appearance" , shat looks nasty after 12 hours, if not properly handled.
Long story short, but thought it was "worthy" to post.
I'm going back home. I can't move in my new house for at least 6 days after I arrive there.
My brother and father want me to stay with them, but both said Behr is not allowed inside their homes.
Motel or Hotel close by will not accept Behr.
I'm camping for a few days.
If Behr is not allowed, I can't like your relatives. Sorry, that's a deal breaker.
Good luck with the camping and I hope you have nice weather. Are you heading back next week?
Didn't come across that way to me.
What?
I'm going now because my brother needs me. I could wait, but I don't want to. I can stay with him, my dad or a few others until my place is available, but Behr would have to stay outside.
If I had to? Yes, Behr can stay outside, yet. He's never had to. They live on a 500 plus acre farm in TN and he will be "brain-forked" with the all the new animals to chase. I had rather sleep in a tent knowing where he is and what he is doing, than anything else
Stupid as it sounds, Behr is my child.
Lots of emotions going on with me right now, please don't mistake my posts as butthurt or defensive.
I don't "have" to camp. I actually look forward to it. I'm not doing it to prove a point, but I'll be killing two birds with one stone.
My brother has my moms "Dutch Oven". Where you at Sly, funny how we were just talking about this.:loco::loco:
